Otis Jaxon is based out South West London, and for the last twenty five years we've devoted ourselves to all things jewellery. We specialise in Sterling Silver and Gold jewellery for women, men, and girls, and design each and every piece we sell.
Design is in our blood, and our collections include silver spinning rings, rose gold bean stud earrings, large gold hoop earrings, silver seahorse earrings, gold flower brooches and cute tiny silver stud earrings for bridesmaids, weddings, and those special occasions. Earrings are our passion, and we're continually releasing new pins, crawlers, jackets, hoops and studs in a variety of finishes for the discerning woman.
We also stock a large selection of contemporary, modern and elegant jewelry designs, personalised gifts, earrings, bangles and bracelets, silver stacking rings, sterling bean necklace, and our top selling rose gold heart locket.

We will do our best to get your order to you as quickly as possible. Because of extensive local Post Office closures, please note that it may now take up to 2 weeks for UK orders to reach you. International orders can now take up to 4-8 weeks (worse case scenario) to reach you.

We work Monday-Friday, and take the weekend to enjoy our families! If you contact us during the weekend we will reply on Monday – we aren’t ignoring you! We love our customers and will always do our very best to help in any way we can.

Shipping
We send all of our orders to the shipping address you supply at checkout. Please make sure you check the delivery address carefully before placing your order – we cannot be held responsible for any parcel that is sent to an incorrect/previous address. You are responsible for providing accurate shipping information for your order.

We offer the following delivery services:
United Kingdom: Standard Delivery, Next Day 1pm Delivery, Saturday Delivery
International: Standard Delivery (untracked), International Tracked, Express DHL Delivery to certain countries. If you do not see an Express delivery option for your country, please contact us for a shipping quote.
Please allow 4-14 working days for standard international delivery. International shipment times will vary depending on your local postal service. From experience, typical times are from 4-10 working days but this can be longer in remote areas.
✦✦CUSTOMS AND DUTY✦✦
The buyer is responsible for any customs, duty or handling charges that may be applied to your order, both in regards to original delivery to your country (if outside of the EU) and also if you wish to return your order to us. We are not responsible for any charges or delays due to customs.
✦✦UNDELIVERED ITEMS✦✦
If your order is returned to us due to an incorrect delivery address being given at checkout, or because the parcel was not called for if it could not be delivered to you, we will need to charge for re-delivery, and will contact you when we receive the parcel back. Please note in some cases it can take up to 1-2 months for parcels to be returned to us.
✦✦LOST/DAMAGED ITEMS✦✦
Otis Jaxon is not responsible for lost or stolen mail. In the event of a package going missing, we are happy to send out a replacement after a 2 month period (international orders), refunds will not be issued.
In the unfortunate event that your order arrives damaged, please contact us with a photo of the issue so we can assess the problem and work with you to provide a suitable resolution.
If your parcel looks like it is damaged, or has been tampered with, we recommend you refuse delivery. The parcel should then automatically be returned to us, so we can inspect it.
Additional policies and FAQs
Our jewellery is handcrafted from 925 sterling silver. As per British regulations, items over a certain weight will be tested for purity and Hallmarked accordingly by the Edinburgh Assay Office. We do not use feature hallmarks, and try to make our hallmarking as discreet as possible to retain the integrity of our designs.
Our gold and rose gold items are sterling silver with 18k gold plating, and are plated by a company that goes back several generations in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham.
HOW DO I CLEAN MY JEWELLERY?
If you look after your jewellery in a sensible manner, it will continue to look beautiful for years to come. We recommend silver polishing cloths manufactured by Town Talk Polish Company Limited (http://www.towntalkpolish.com/silver/). Unfortunately, silver does tarnish and a quick rub with a silver cloth will help prevent this.
Whilst all Otis Jaxon pieces come in our signature packaging, these are for gift-giving purposes only, and NOT FOR STORING your jewellery. We recommend storing unworn jewellery inside an airtight bag in your jewellery box to minimize tarnishing, which can occur when it comes into contact with natural elements. Airtight containers are preferable when storing your jewellery, the most common household items with this function are zip lock bags.
WHAT TARNISHES SILVER?
Silver is tarnished by sulphur-containing materials, particularly hydrogen sulphide (H2S). Tarnishing is accelerated in a humid environment. Oily salts from our fingers may, if not removed, show up as corrosion patterns that may have to be professionally removed. Silver that is worn and then gently washed and dried immediately will seldom require tarnish removal.
Keep your jewellery clean – with silver, gold and platinum jewellery you can also use a soft toothbrush, lukewarm water and some washing up liquid to take away any residues of, for example, hand cream, soap or every-day dirt (more details below).
DO NOT!
Expose your jewellery to any chemicals such as household cleaners, perfumes, hairspray etc as these could cause damage and discolouration to the surface of your jewellery (that means ‘no’ to cleaning any of your jewellery with vinegar, gin and coca cola, which can be very acidic!).
Do not wear your jewellery during activities such as exercising or gardening to avoid knocking or scratching.
Do not let it have prolonged contact with hard or abrasive surfaces. Avoid carrying heavy bags when wearing delicate rings or bracelets as these can cause damage and misshape your jewellery.
Privacy
This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that we do not own or control, including Etsy or any third party services you access through Etsy. You can reference the Etsy Privacy Policy to learn more about its privacy practices.
Information We Collect
To fulfil your order, you must provide us with certain information (which you authorised Etsy to provide to us), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide us with additional personal information (for a custom order of jewellery, for example), if you contact us directly.
Why We Need Your Information and How We Use It
We rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
• as needed to provide our services, such as when we use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;
• when you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, such as by signing up for our mailing list;
• if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law; and
• as necessary for the purpose of our legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as 1) providing and improving our services. Information Sharing and Disclosure
Information about our customers is important to our business. We share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:
• Etsy. We share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you our services and comply with our obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.
• Service providers. We engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to our shop, such as delivery companies. We will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.

Data Retention

We generally keep your data for the following tius period: 4 years.
Transfers of Personal Information Outside the EU
We may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, we may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If we are deemed to transfer information about you outside of the EU, we rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer, as Google Cloud is Privacy Shield certified.
Your Rights
If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. We describe these rights below:

You can object to (i) our processing of some of your information based on our legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing usssages from us after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, we will delete your personal information unless we have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.

We can usually make any of our items in rose or yellow gold plated for less than you would think! Please send us a message and we'll be happy to help you. We can of course make any of our designs in silver too!
