Buyers are raving!

This shop got multiple 5-star reviews in the past 7 days.

Announcement    DUE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS AND BREXIT posting to some countries is taking MUCH longer than expected. This did apply to the USA as USPS struggles with the volume of mail and the impact of covid on staffing. Recent orders have, however, reached their destinations fairly promptly.

On a Journey discovering vintage silver, gold and costume Jewelry from around the world

Bringing a combination of the UK and France to You.

Welcome to OurBoudoir with our selection of fine vintage and antique jewelry augmented by some wonderful French finds. We stock a mixture of jewelry from fine gold Art Deco and Art Nouveau rings to unique costume jewelry that has been chosen for its appeal. So you, therefore, can shop for that special gift or a small treat for yourself or friends. We also have a small collection of French Limoges trinket boxes and French vases that will add an extra sparkle to the house.

Please visit my website www.ourboudoironline.com

I live with my family in the south of England, but we also have a small cottage in rural France, two hours from the Loire Valley. I love the slower pace of France and the beautiful countryside. There is much to see and do, and great respect for family life and traditional ways. I enclose a few photos of the area for you to enjoy.

Hi I love collecting vintage, particularly jewelry and the occasional accessory. Fine European silver and gold attracts me as I love the diversity, but highly skilled craftsmanship, of various countries.

Hello and Welcome to our collection of vintage jewelry

We hope to impart, to those of you not already converted, a sense of honour and privilege in offering a home for the gifts of previous generations. These gems form part of our heritage, and reflect not only their own beauty, but also their context in former times now lost to us.

Request a cancellation within: 6 hours of purchase
I don't accept returns or exchanges
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
Returns and exchange details
We do not accept refunds due to the nature of vintage goods. However, we would like you to be happy with your purchase so please convo us if you are disappointed.

The buyer does pay for any return delivery. This is also the policy of Etsy and Paypal. There are also custom fees for the UK and these will be deducted from your refund.
Payment by Paypal invoice. Unless you have contacted us by email with alternative arrangements then payment must be made within two days of purchase.

Any taxes added are collected by Etsy on behalf of your government.

Layaway- I am open to layaway and will work out a payment plan with you. A non refundable deposit of 20% is required and is made at the time of reserving the item. In the event that you cannot fulfil your payment obligation then a credit note for this shop will be issued for the amount of money already received.
I do ship on occasion from France.

Our shipping rate is very favourable as it is the quoted Post Office rate. I do not charge for the gift box supplied for jewellery nor the fees charged by Etsy.

Postal fees increase sharply beyond 100g.

For items valued below £45 we use a basic airmail service with a proof of posting and you will be responsible for any losses or delays. We can, however, claim for compensation from Royal Mail up to £50.

If you require tracking please choose the upgrade option at the Checkout or convo me if one is not available. You should choose Tracked and Signed at Checkout as it offers the most protection.

Orders valued over £45 will automatically be sent by a tracked and signed for service as this provides compensation for a lost package and sometimes provides an indication as to expected date of delivery. However, from experience, the tracking is often not updated as scans are taken at depots and upon delivery. If the item is delayed the tracking often says In Transit which is not very helpful.

Some of our items may incur additional shipping costs when they are packaged. If this occurs, I will notify you of the difference. The shipping upgrade for Fedex/UPS is an estimate and will be different for each country. For many countries it is about £10 to £15 less. Any overages will be refunded. If the shipping proves to be more I will advise you and you can decide whether to cancel or pay the additional shipping fee. The service is good value for larger items as it is based upon a shipping volume of 1kg, and in other cases it is valued for speed and efficiency.

We endeavour to post your purchase within 48 hours Monday to Friday, and will advise you if we will be away on holiday, business or an unexpected emergency delays us.

Please make sure your ETSY mailing address is correct as any parcels returned to us due to an inaccurate address will incur a handling charge if reposted.

All customs fees, taxes, tariffs, and handling charges incurred are the responsibility of the purchaser. International packages that are refused at the point of delivery will only be refunded when I have received them. Any customs fee incurred entering the UK will be deducted as will the shipping fees. ALL EU COUNTRIES WILL NOW BE SUBJECT TO 20% IMPORT FEES. THESE WILL BE COLLECTED FROM YOU BY YOUR POST OFFICE PRIOR TO DELIVERY. FROM JULY THE FEES WILL BE ADDED BY ETSY AT THE CHECKOUT.

There may be delays, sometimes severe, in delivery times because of the time it takes customs to process post or the speed of the domestic service. This particularly applies to RUSSIAN FEDERATION where items are often delayed by 6 months or more. This may also apply to the EU now that the UK has left the community.

There are also now more stringent security measures in most countries which may at times delay deliveries.

We do assume under normal conditions delivery times of 4 working days within Europe and 7 to 10 working days for other destinations, but at present there is so much potential for delay.

As you can see, the logistics are complex. Please contact me if you have a problem with delivery and we will do our best to support you, and may be able to advise you. However, it is the responsibility of the postal service to deliver your item and your first response with a delay is to contact your post office asking them to check with the customs office for any outstanding deliveries. Items can be held up at Customs for months without any contact so let them be aware you are waiting.
