Hola, soy Audrey y mi objetivo es ayudar a que sea más fácil para los padres y educadores ocupados sacar a sus hijos afuera.
Al crecer, pasé mucho tiempo jugando afuera. Trepé a los árboles, monté mi bicicleta por el vecindario, construí tiendas de campaña en el patio trasero y jugué kickball con los niños del vecindario.
Cuando llegué a la universidad, comencé a hacer viajes de mochilero en áreas silvestres escarpadas casi todos los veranos. Estoy hablando del tipo de viaje en el que llevas todo lo que necesitas para sobrevivir durante una semana a tu espalda. Así que se podría decir que he estado cultivando el amor por el aire libre desde que era un joven.
Cuando tuvimos a nuestro hijo, naturalmente quería compartir tantas experiencias al aire libre con él como fuera posible. El aire libre puede ser una gran oportunidad para desconectar un poco y estar presente con los que amamos sin distracciones. También quiero darle el regalo de una infancia rica en recuerdos de experiencias al aire libre que puede recordar con cariño como adulto.
Como estoy seguro de que sabes, los beneficios físicos, sociales, emocionales e intelectuales del juego exterior están bien documentados. Cada día se realizan más y más investigaciones que arrojan luz sobre los desafíos que enfrenta la próxima generación (demasiado tiempo de pantalla, redes sociales, falta de movimiento, etc.).
A través de la creación de experiencias divertidas y atractivas al aire libre, creo que nosotros, como padres y educadores, podemos ayudar a la próxima generación de niños a vivir vidas más saludables y felices.
Dicho esto, también sé lo difícil que puede ser como padre trabajador asegurarse de que nuestros hijos pasen tiempo al aire libre. Algunos días no tenemos el tiempo o la energía para idear actividades que entusiasmen a nuestros hijos. Aquí es donde entro yo 😀

Hi, I’m Audrey and my goal is to help make it easier for busy parents and educators to get their kids outside.
Growing up, I spent a lot of time playing outside. I climbed trees, rode my bike around the neighborhood, built tents in the backyard, and played kickball with the neighborhood kids.
When I reached college, I started going on backpacking trips in rugged wilderness areas almost every summer. I’m talking the kind of trip where you carry everything you need to survive for a week on your back. So you could say I’ve been cultivating a love of the outdoors since I was a youngster.
When we had our son, I naturally wanted to share as many outdoor experiences with him as possible. The outdoors can be a great opportunity to unplug for a bit and be present with the ones we love without distraction. I also want to give him the gift of a childhood rich in memories of outdoor experiences that he can recall fondly as an adult.
As I’m sure you know, the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual benefits to outside play are well documented. Every day more and more research is being done that sheds light on the challenges facing the next generation (too much screen time, social media, lack of movement, etc.).
Through creating fun and engaging outdoor experiences, I believe we as parents and educators can help the next generation of kids live healthier and happier lives.
With that said, I also know how hard it can be as a working parent to ensure that our kids spend time outside. Some days we don’t have the time or energy to come up with activities that our kids are excited about. This is where I come in 😀
You don’t have to spend countless hours rummaging through the internet trying to find outdoor activities you and your kids will actually like. Let me provide you actionable outdoor activities that are easy to plug into a busy schedule with minimal stress and effort!
