Announcement   I've been so blessed to be able to combine my passions into one fun Etsy shop . . . . antiques, vintage quilts and crafting!

First of all, who doesn't love exploring an antique shop? Vintage treasures from the past bringing back memories of our youth, stirring emotions and sparking our imaginations from times gone by.

Secondly, I simply can't resist a quilt. Well-loved and tattered ones tug at my heart the most. Add the softness and hint of pastel colors (1920's - 1930's) to a plain white background, and you have the most irresistible blessing!

And thirdly, I think it's fun to upcycle some of those antiques and vintage items that most people would call trash by crafting them into something new - sometimes by turning an old fence picket into an inspirational sign or even crafting an old quilt into several new Christmas stockings.

Either way, I'm hoping that by visiting my shop, you'll find one of my passions listed for sale that can become a passion of yours!

This was the smallest sign I have ever seen. I was extremely disappointed and wish I wouldn't have purchased it.

I am so sorry you were disappointed with your purchase, however, the dimensions were clearly stated in the listing. I am confident we could have resolved the problem had you contacted me prior to your negative review.

About

A bit of vintage, a dash of charm and a pinch of CREATIVITY!

Welcome to "Our Little Blue Cottage"! We are a family of three loving life in Southern California. We are antiquers, crafters, and self-made aritisans, each with our own unique talents . . . and yes, some might say our home looks just like a "little blue cottage"!

My husband is a "cowboy enthusiast" and enjoys spending his spare time in the garage tooling and crafting leather (which he enjoys comparitively more than his job as a graphic designer). His passion for knives leads him to create custom sheaths that are often a result due to a special request. Visit his shop at www.etsy.com/shop/Mr.LegendaryLeather. You may also visit www.legendaryleather.blogspot.com to see what "Mr. Legendary Leather" has been cleverly crafting in his garage!

Our daughter is passionate about horses and enjoys spending most of her extra time at the stables caring for them. When she's not at school or at the stables, she's usually found in a comfy corner creatively drawing horses and other animals. She also enjoys dabbling in new jewelry creations . . .

And me? Well, I consider myself a "mom" first and foremost. I also enjoy volunteering for those in need . . . but I have to admit that there are times when the crafter and antiquer within just won't stay put! I enjoy old cuddly quilts, vintage linens, cozy cottages, antique shops, and time spent with my family on the bench in our memory garden on a quiet, lazy, California autumn day . . .

. . . yet all three of us have a deep appreciation for those who are blessed to be creative and show it in their own unique way . . .

"Art is not what you see, but what you make others see." (Edgar Degas)
