Just as described, and relatively fast shipping. Now I just have to figure out how best to use them!

Beautiful talhakimt, I'm really pleased with the look:-) it's very well done, hard to bell the difference between a real one and the reproduction:-) very satisfied with the purchase!

Combining passions

Volpe Nera started for me as the result of my frustration with my inability to find Talhakimt in colours I wanted, Namely Black, Purple and Grey.

After searching high and low, annoying many bead collectors, museums, and traders I gave up.

In 2012 I was admiring the work of another artist who makes cosplay costume bits and was inspired. Why couldn't I make my own talhakimt? In any colour?
I could combine my need of unusual Talhakimt and my knowledge of prop making and make my own.

With new containers of silicone (my preferred mold making material) and fancy resin dye in hand I made a tiny batch, next thing I knew I had other dancers asking for them! Volpe Nera was born!

Whats with the name?

I get asked this a lot, Its a combination of multiple interests of mine Music, Italian sewing terms, and Foxes.

Volpe Nera means Black Fox in Italian, an uncommonly used term for the silver fox.
