Hello, my name is Josh Smith and I'm co-owner and COO of Out of The Box Custom Wood alongside my dad, Mike Smith. We are a Father-and-Son custom woodworking business that specializes in high quality handmade pieces of art that are totally unique and custom to you.

Our business started 11 years ago as a hobby in my dads garage, after serving in the U.S Military for over 2 decades he decided to retire and pursue his longtime love of woodworking. After a lot of hard work and dedication he managed to turn his labor of love into a bonafide small business.

Our goal at Out of The Box Wood is to offer the highest quality wood products to you. We feel that you deserve something that is guaranteed to last, something that's more than a box or a plaque, a true piece of art.

We work closely with our clients in order to ensure we are creating exactly the unique piece they desire. Each piece is meticulously crafted utilizing old world techniques and modern machinery to precise standards to ensure strong tight fitting joinery and achieve aesthetic grandeur. We hand select only the finest quality woods for our products, most are crafted from hardwoods including: walnut, cherry, oak, maple, mahogany, figured woods and exotics. The woods we use are harvested from responsibly managed and sustainable forests. This is our way of ensuring healthy and diverse forests for future generations to enjoy.

Everything that we offer is handmade in the U.S and he materials we use are sourced in the U.S as much as possible to ensure quality standards for you.
