Peter is a gem (or is precious metal more appropriate?)! I purchased these earrings for my sister who is a chef but did so before learning she developed an allergy to silver. I messaged Peter and he was so responsive and accommodating. He was in the middle of making her earrings (another plus! Each earring is made on order and not mass produced) and switched out the earring post to a metal that's better for sensitive ears. Super cool person! He shipped the earrings quickly and they are just as described. Perfect!

My Out of This World Odyssey

I was introduced to silversmithing while I was in middle school. It was a happy accident. I had no burning desire to make jewelry but the class fit into my schedule. Little did I imagine that I would still be making jewelry almost 5 decades latter. In the intervening years I continued to add new techniques to my metalworking repertoire.
I went to a gem show in the 1970’s and saw meteorites offered for sale. I couldn't resist and soon started to use meteorites to create “out-of-this-world” jewelry. Working this amazing material piqued my interest so I started studying meteorites to learn the science behind them. My studies have continued to this day. I prepare meteorites for study and/or display, make thin sections for study, and etch iron meteorites to display their beautiful qualities. I have worked designing museum displays, selling and providing meteorites to both the public (universities, museums) as well as private collectors. I have also traveled the world hunting for extraterrestrial rocks. I am a member of the Meteoritical Society, The International Meteorite Collectors Organization, as well as local and national astronomy associations.
Please note that all of my jewelry is hand made so there will be slight variation from piece to piece.
