These are really detailed, and beautiful. I love the texture of the copper. I popped purple niobium ear wires on them, and am already wearing them. Thanks for my new jewelry!

About

From painting on paper to painting with enamels on metal.

Of all the artistic techniques I've worked in over the years, enameling is the least understood by the public. Many think of enamels as paint, resins or even nail polish. Only the enamel artist considers it "painting with fire".

A variety of enameling techniques has evolved over the years and I've tried many of them. But I prefer my own stylized form of Limoges which involves painting with enamel. This seems most natural to an artist whose background is in watercolor, pastels, acrylics and mural painting. Sometimes my jewelry simply involves form and color. In other pieces I create original wearable art jewelry.

Imagine the thrill as a hot, glowing piece is removed from the kiln and the fabulous color reveals itself as it cools!

I am an artist turned jewelry maker. For many years I painted (mostly in watercolors) and did custom framing. I've done silver fabrication, metal clay work, beading and bead-weaving. And loved it all! These days I "paint with fire".

Frequently asked questions

Gift wrapping and packaging

You'll receive your purchase in a gift box tied with red ribbon. If you're purchasing this as a gift, I'm happy to insert a personalized message in place of my normal "thank you" note. Please include message during checkout. A padded envelope is generally used to ship but if multiple gift boxes are requested, they'll be sent in a shipping box.

Care instructions

Enamel jewelry is glass on metal. It is extremely durable and totally fade-resistant. The enamel component can be cleaned with water and a mild detergent if needed. Please do not drop onto a hard surface like tile or cement as this will cause chipping just like if you dropped a glass dish.
