    About

I'm no Picasso, I just believe in what I do.

Errick Freeman's official online shop and gallery:

Being Innovative and original is the way I find my solstice, my humility, and my thoughts outside the box.
Natural selection is the reason for it. Ever since I started using random materials as parts and base of work, I've found it thamaturgic. As the years went on, the process has become more refined in it's way with me. Taking me from crafting to artisan.
Creating fulfills me with achievement and sincerity, and has affirmed a workable transport for decoding my slant to the lean; my intellect to the bewilderment.
My works are a reflection of life-long crafting experiences and I've been rediscovering/reinventing wood-burning. I'm stylizing and recreating the preplanned planks into my own ideas and designs and colorizing them by use of actual fire. I call it pyro-chromatic art.
I'm now doing portraits, graphic and abstract designs in different types of wood. I'm creating ideas for floor, door, yard fence, and patios.
Sometimes I use the natural grain of the wood for inspiration, and my coloring technique allows me to have an infinite pallet of intense and subtle color; both opaque and translucent.

    Artist Bio:
Errick Freeman (Pach Atomz) is an artist specializing in original pyrography techniques. Freeman was born in Delaware Ohio in 1974. Growing up in a low income family, Freeman started creating and inventing at an early age. He would repurpose old toys and jewelry for entertainment. His first drawings were of his childhood hero, Voltron. By the age of 10, Freeman had already been featured in his first art show.
Although Freeman did attend Kent State University for a time and has some experience in glass blowing, he is mainly self-taught. His creations of color images by use of fire are original and is a technique that he has been practicing and developing for over 10 years. He finds the people around him intriguing but states that he does not necessarily need inspiration to create, he just does. It is like breathing for him.
Freeman was part of Bliss Art Studio in Canton Ohio, a co-op art studio for almost 5 years. He has been selected to appear Art Takes Manhattan (2013), The Story of the Creative (2013), SCOPE Miami and New York 2014, and The 9th Annual OOVAR Juried Art Exhibition (2014-2015) Freeman was the first local artist from Stark County featured in Juxtapoz Magazine in 2008. He has appeared in numerous art shows and exhibitions such as; Art is Alive, The Tarot Card Art Show, CMA Pop Up Show, Akron Art Prize, Back to the 80s Art Show, Fresh Art Friday, 2014 Ice Ball at A&E, First Fridays Canton Ohio from 2008 to 2013, Show Your Sack Art Show and Goofy-Foot Skate Show.
Currently aside from his full-time day job, Freeman is exploring new ideas and pyro-chromatic techniques. In the future he hopes to show pieces in the galleries of Harlem New York and eventually the National Art Museum.
Errick Freeman currently resides in Canton. Ohio with his wife and 6 kids. His work can be
