To all the great people I met today at The Vintage Market in Monroe: thanks for stopping here, too! Don't see here what you saw there? Etsy convo me or email me at - I'll get you a reserved listing ASAP! Updating the shop this week!
Woohoo! After an incredible sale yesterday, I'm dang near wiped out! I've got to get the shop updated as many items are currently out of stock! A good problem or a bad problem?!?

PGwoodgoods Makes Handmade Wood Gifts That You Want

Based out of West Michigan in an area just outside of Grand Rapids, PGwoodgoods operates it’s small production facility in an inconspicuous location - also known as the family’s two and a half stall garage. While avoiding the occasional toy lawn mower, radio-flyer wagon, or errantly thrown tee-ball, PGwoodgoods is able to consistantly and efficiently create handmade wood jewelry, wood kitchenwares and housewares, and other great wood gifts and gift ideas.

Traditionally, the wood all begins as locally sourced or locally harvested rough-sawn lumber that PGwoodgoods has milled into usable lumber. Our sources are usually not from lumber mills but private individuals. The preferred species of choice is black walnut.

Where many of the items are made before hand and kept as part of an inventory, PGwoodgoods prefers to work on a custom order basis or as needed. Once an order is completed, unless otherwise noted, your item will ship within 1 business day of receiving payment for items within the inventory, and 1-3 business days of receiving payment for items that are custom ordered unless otherwise communicated with you, the customer.

All items are created with the utmost care and pride as though they would be given to a loved one of our own. Cutting boards and serving boards are finished with high quality food safe materials. Earrings & bangles are finished with varnish-oil blends that has been a favorite for decades. The solid wood rings are finished with a tried and true, tested and proven method that will prevent your ring from drying out with repeated hand washing while maintaining a high sheen.

PGwoodgoods is proud to offer free shipping on all jewelry all the time in the USA, and a small fixed rate shipping rate on coasters and boards. Shipping outside the USA is available and listings contain this shipping information.

Returns and exchanges
If your item arrives broken, I'll replace it (minus shipping charges). Take a photo of the packaging and broken item within 48 hours or arrival, send to us, and we'll get started on the refund/replace process.

Unhappy with a product? Let us know within 7 days of the item arriving and we can work toward an exchange for a product of equal or lesser value, or a store credit for future purchase. You cover the cost to return the item to me, I'll cover the cost to send it back to you.

PGwoodgoods reserves the right to examine these issues on a case by case basis and address each case for it's unique circumstances.

Custom orders created outside the realm of the standard described product cannot be exchanged or returned. Custom orders are defined as once not seen as a regular item for sale, and one that we worked on together based on a special request from you.
This one is pretty important. 100% of the time, nothing is going to ship until payment has cleared on our end. Any credit/debit card that Etsy accepts, we accept.

On rare occasions there may be a scenario that a partial payment may be required prior to completing a large, non standard, custom order. If that's the case, you'll know about this way in advance as part of our conversations of the custom order. This will not be a surprise to you if and when it happens.

Questions about our payment policies or the check-out process? Contact us, we'll work it out.
Free shipping on all jewelry all the time. Small fixed fee shipping for boards and coasters. Shipping outside USA is available and those prices are within the listing details.

Our rule of thumb and goal is to ship all inventoried items within one business day of a cleared payment. Sometimes with Paypal this may all happen in the same day if an item is purchased early in the day.

For items not in inventory, our goal is to ship within 3 business days of a cleared payment. This extra time insures proper production and cure times. If something should occur during production that may delay shipping, the buyer will be notified immediately as well as provided with a solution.

Our preferred method of shipping is USPS (United States Postal Service) Priority or First Class. Occasionally and rarely, UPS will be used. We do our best (and I think it's default) to provide you with tracking information about your package.

I ship to your Etsy Address on file. Double check it's correct because that's where it's headed.

Is this a gift? Leave us a note during checkout and we'll make sure it's seen.

In a time crunch? Talk to us, we'll come up with a solution together.

Buying international? Keep in mind this always takes a little longer. I'll get your package to our USA borders, I can't really control what happens with customs after that point. All countries have slightly different policies and take various amounts of time to complete.

Wood Is Awesome.

That being said, it's also a crazy wild beast that is not only different from one tree to the next of the same species, but from one branch to the next branch, to even a little further down the trunk or limb. A twist here, a knot there. That's what makes it so unique and great to work with. We get a kick out of the "reveal" every time we polish up a piece and see what she's provided us.

Because of this, keep in mind that unless your item's description says something along the lines of "You'll be getting the actual item in the photos," The piece you may receive could be slightly different than the one pictured. While we do our best to match up wood grains, measurements, and shape, there inherently will be variations. That being said, ring sizes are usually spot on.

Ring Sizing

We use standard sizes for making our rings. We use a ring sizing mandrel to assure accuracy. If you do an image search for "Zales ring sizing chart," you'll find a great chart you can print off which gives you a few methods of finding your size. Just be sure to not scale the file when you print it, meaning, be sure it prints at 100% to size.

Cutting boards and coasters may need periodic reconditioning with food-safe oils. Bangles and earrings shouldn't need any maintenance whatsoever. Rings could benefit from a paste wax refinish every 6-12 months, depending on wear and tear.
