I grew up in South Carolina and both my parents collected Southern pottery. I played hid and go seek in piece of pottery that helped send me to college. I found clay during college and have been working with it ever since. Pottery is a practice in meditation and attention to detail. I am mainly a sculptor and do pottery when my brain needs to focus and be clear. I find that working in both fields helps keep both lines of work fresh and exciting.
