I bought Painted Pear soaps for my massage clinic's break room as a treat for the therapists. Not only did they love the soaps, they took the time to write "thank you" notes on our white board. That says a lot about the quality of these soaps as we wash our hands SEVERAL times a shift. These soaps are massage-therapist approved! :-) (And Jaime is a sweetheart too.)

Everything about this game is charming. It worked well with a child with a rich imagination and stimulated the less rich imagination of a second child, which was the reason for buying it.

About

How It All Began...

Painted Pear Studio started back in 2009 while I was working 70 hours a week as a business consultant with a little girl in preschool, a toddler in daycare, a house to take care of, and my husband who also worked full-time. For years I wanted to have my own business, be my own boss, and do something I enjoyed. When I took my leap of faith and said, "GOOD RIDDENS!" to Corporate America, it was out of necessity for the welfare of my family's life.

I'm inspired by nature and the love of handmade-- when I was a little girl, I helped my mom sell her handpainted scarves and tote bags. When I grew up, I earned a degree in Applied Arts, so it was only a matter of time before I came back to my roots.

Making my own soaps started when I became more sensitive to synthetic perfumes, dyes, and just the thought of getting sick when I get old. My grandmother made soap for the whole family on the farm. To this day, my dad uses homeopathic remedies. Although I have a ways to go before I can call myself 'urban farmer', handmade bath and laundry products using less toxic ingredients helps a lot with my drt skin and my kids' eczema. I use essential oils and pure botanicals, keeping sensitive skin in mind. My ingredients are free from parabens, SLS, and phthalates, made in small batches to ensure the highest quality.

My shop reflects many facets of my life and offers goods, made by me, for the kitchen, bath, and laundry room. Come see all the good things that are made by hand using high quality materials and ingredients. I take pride in packaging your purchase so they are pretty to give to someone or just fun to open for yourself. If there is anything you would like to ask or learn more about, please feel free to contact me any time --thanks for stopping by!

Hello, welcome, thank you for visiting my shop.
My prints and designs are original ideas derived from sketches or something that caught my eye. I love illustration, ink, paper, and natural elements. They blend together at times, creating something I want to keep for myself, and I can't help but put much time and care into what I craft.
I received a degree in Applied Art, but it's in my roots so making things started well before then-- painting rocks and illustrating greeting cards from my childhood imagination.

Enjoy!
