Announcement    Welcome to Painted White Lines (please chose "Custom" under "Sort" to ensure you see my shop in color/theme order). My name is Kasey and I create Printables, which are pieces of my hand-drawn artwork that you can download online (typically immediately after purchase) and print yourself. Many of my printables (like my party invitations) are Templates, which allow you to add your own personalization to the printable using a free computer program called Acrobat Reader, right from your computer.

I hand draw the characters myself, and take great pride in my work. Whether you are new to Printables or have reams of cardstock piled ceiling high in every room of your house that never seem to be there long enough to collect dust (just me?), you can purchase with confidence knowing that I am just a message away if you have questions or need help.

A great place to start is with my "Printable Invitations" section, or with my "Printable Party Packages" section. If you want to browse my entire shop, please make sure “custom sort” is selected to see coordinating party supplies grouped together. Note too that most listings have a “party code” or two that starts with PWL that can be used to search my shop for all coordinating items in the collection. There is a link at the top of each listing’s item details that will perform the search for you.

Thanks so much for considering my party printables!

Painted White Lines

Painted White Lines is the one-woman team of Kasey Lichota.

It was born out of a love for traveling, moving and most of all, building things. Currently based in Raleigh, North Carolina.

My family and I are always embarking on road trips and pretty frequently find ourselves moving from one side of the country to the other. We've managed to call 6 states home thus far.

We are fortunate to have met some of the best people in the world, and to have seen more than our fair share of cool places and lots of painted white lines on roads along the way.

Frequently asked questions
Can you do custom orders?

Yes! For a small additional fee per item, we can customize the color scheme of any of our listings to meet your party. Any other changes may incur an additional fee. Please see Add-on Services section of our shop and contact us prior to purchase to inquire about any other customization.

Can you personalize this for me?

Yes! For a small additional fee per item, we can personalize any template with your party details for you. See the Add-on Services section in our shop.

Can you print this for me?

We do not offer print services at this time, but you can print our invites professionally at places like Target and take our other printables to office supply stores like Staples!

When and how will I receive my files?

If you are purchasing a file labeled as an Instant Download, and you have an Etsy account, your files will be available within a few minutes from your Etsy Purchases page:

1. Log into your Etsy account using your Desktop computer (not a mobile device)
2. Under "You" on the top right side of Etsy, choose "Purchases and Reviews"
3. Find your order and click "Download Files"

If you do not have an Etsy account, Etsy will email you a link to download your files.

All other custom files will be emailed to the email address Etsy has on file for you, generally within 24 hours. If you are concerned about a tight turnaround, please send us a conversation prior to purchasing. We respond quickly while we are awake.

Can I edit everything on a template?

No. In some templates, we allow font style changes (type, color and size) but template layout, artwork, and file sizes are never editable.

Please read the product details of each item to see what is and is not editable and contact us with any questions.

I'm having trouble editing my template or saving my changes. What am I doing wrong?

Please be sure that you have the latest version of Adobe Reader (Adobe Reader DC), which is available for FREE at http://get.adobe.com/reader

Also, double-check that you are editing in Adobe Reader DC. Avoid double-clicking the file name to open the template. Instead, open Adobe Reader DC, then use File > Open to select your file.

If you have checked the above, make sure that your personal font settings are not set to override template fonts (Edit > Preferences - then under Categories, select Page Display, then uncheck Use Local Fonts).

If you tried to edit the template in any program other than Adobe Reader DC, you may have broken the template. Don't fret! You can re-download your files (from your email or from Etsy).

While editing the template, the fonts that I see on my computer look wonky. What's going on?

Please be sure that you have the latest version of Adobe Reader (Adobe Reader DC), which is available for FREE at http://get.adobe.com/reader

Also, double-check that you are editing in Adobe Reader DC. Avoid double-clicking the file name to open the template. Instead, open Adobe Reader DC, then use File > Open to select your file.

If you tried to edit the template in any program other than Adobe Reader DC, you may have broken the template. Don't fret! You can re-download your files (from your email or from Etsy).

Why is my printed template not the size specified or why is part of the design being cut off?

Please be sure to set your Printer Settings to print at "Actual Size" so the size is not scaled in any way.

My print shop doesn't accept PDF template files, or the editable text areas do not show up after uploading.

If your print shop does not accept PDF template files, or its preview doesn't correctly display the text, you can convert your template to a high-resolution JPEG or PNG format. Once you have finished editing your PDF template, simply save the file and convert it into a JPEG or PNG using a free online converter. We like https://www.zamzar.com/convert/pdf-to-jpg/ because it is free, fast and easy.

I saved my template to a USB drive and took it to a print shop, but the template doesn't look right. What's happening and what can I do?

It is possible that the print shop doesn't have the latest version of Adobe Reader (Adobe Reader DC), or that they didn't open it in Adobe Reader DC.

They also may have font preferences set to override template fonts (Edit > Preferences - then under Categories, select Page Display, then uncheck Use Local Fonts).

It is also possible that somewhere along the way, the fonts on your template became unembedded.

Your best bet is to convert your template to a JPEG or PNG at home so that you can be sure print shop computers will handle your printables correctly. We like https://www.zamzar.com/convert/pdf-to-jpg/ because it is free, fast and easy.
