I love my painting so much. It is more beautiful in person and came out exactly as I hoped it would. Kristen was a pleasure to work with. 5 stars all day!

We are so happy with our paintings and Kirsten's service. The art was extremely well packaged. The paintings are exactly as we pictured.

Beautiful, Abstract Poured Paintings made for Art Collectors and Interior Designers

Pouring acrylic paint allows me to create expressive, fluid paintings, with beautiful, translucent layers, refined textures, and intricate patterns. These are not just random, but rather are skilled, thoughtful, purposeful techniques, honed over time through daily deliberate practice and constant research of new art techniques.

Who do I make these for?
I make one of a kind abstract paintings for art collectors who value innovative contemporary art, inspired by patterns in nature.

I also make custom-colored paintings for interior designers, so you can bring your clients abstract art that fits perfectly with their room's new color palette.

My Personal story: I have always been an artist. Under my parents' kitchen tabletop, you can see colorful marks from when I crawled underneath and drew an impromptu mural on it as a toddler. Now, I make and sell fluid acrylic abstract paintings. I've been selling fine art on etsy since 2012. All original artwork is handmade by me in my Illinois art studio.

I am a self-representing artist who sells original acrylic paintings.

All paintings are
-handmade by Kirsten Elizabeth Gilmore.
-sent with an official certificate of authenticity

If there are problems with your order, please contact me first, and allow me to help you before you leave feedback.

Note that you are buying just the painting itself, not the image rights. The artist retains all rights to all of these paintings (such as the right to make prints.) This is also true for custom art. This matters because part of my business includes art licensing to companies and selling prints of paintings.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
I accept PayPal, credit cards, and etsy gift cards.

* I collect additional sales tax when you purchase from Illinois.
SHIPPING TURNAROUND TIMES: These are written on each individual listing.

I only ship to the CONTINENTAL U.S.A. right now.

Customs and duty fees:
- I do not currently ship outside the U.S. But, if I did, buyers would pay for customs and duty fees.

Safe shipping is a top priority for me. Here are details of what I do for you to ensure your packages arrive in good order.

For medium to large art, I usually use:
- FedEx Home Delivery
- direct signature
- emailed shipping updates from FedEx to you

For small art and un-stretched canvas paintings, I usually use:
-USPS Priority in rigid mailers or priority boxes. See specific listings for details.

-I use FedEx ground with direct signature.

I have done extensive packaging research and created a system that protects your painting well.

I use honeycomb board (aka "hexacomb") as a green alternative inner packaging material. Hexacomb is a thick, firm, recyclable, lightweight, but very strong replacement for the plank foam.

I also occassionally repurpose clean new packing materials (such as bubble wrap) that came from art supply orders when these are available. I will only use newer, clean materials that are still effective at protecting your artwork.
Refunds and Exchanges
EXCHANGES- I do not offer exchanges

Please, remember to measure your wall space before buying--I do NOT accept returns unless the artwork was damaged.

MONEY BACK GUARANTEE only if the art is DAMAGED during shipping:
This does not happen often. I pack items very carefully.

If a painting is damaged during shipping:

1.) Within 24 hours of when your artwork arrives, email 2 photos of the damage: one that shows damage to the art and a second one that shows damage to the package. Tell me what is wrong and if you want to return the painting.

2. Then, wrap your painting in the ORIGINAL white Tyvek, put it in a new box, and ship it back within 7 days of receiving it.

You will receive a refund of your purchase price and original shipping costs when I receive the art.

You would only pay for the return shipping yourself.
Additional policies and FAQs
ORIGINALS ONLY POLICY: ***I will not paint exact copies of my past paintings. This protects past collectors' investment value and gives you a painting that is worth more because your painting would be an original variation, not a painted copy.

* You can commission a painting in the same general style and/or colors as one of my past paintings.

2016: I am not currently taking custom orders. me to join my email list. That way, you will be updated on new art, and will hear when custom orders are available again.
