I love to make things with my hands...

It all started on a “Bring Your Child to Work” day back in 2006. My girls wanted to spend the day with me instead of going to school. I thought we would enjoy spending the afternoon at a local bead shop. We had fun finding all the different embellishment to string onto the wire to make bracelets to remember the day.

I found myself really drawn in by the details on the glass beads that I chose. As a child I loved to watch how things were made on Sesame Street or Mr. Rodgers. I found myself wondering how these glass beads were made.

Initially I researched online for tooling and techniques. I purchased a couple of books and my first torch and hit the ground running. Lampworking is harder than I thought. It takes lots of practice to work with hot glass as runny as honey and hot enough to cauterize flesh. I have since taken many classes with masters of this craft.

I have spent the last few years adding to my initial interests by incorporating metalsmithing, enameling, and engraving. I've traveled a lot and seek out masters in their fine craft to learned from. There's an intrinsic value to learning from masters of their craft; It's elevated my standards and my artwork.

I participate in juried art festivals where you can find the highest quality of fine craft in my local area (Tampa Bay), throughout Florida, and beginning 2015 among the Southern United States.

I try to post regularly on my Facebook Page at:

I also have a website at where you can find out which show and galleries you can find my work.

Metal Information:
According to RioGrande, "Gold-filled, or gold overlay, is made by heat- and pressure-bonding a thin layer of 14K or 12K gold to a brass core." Also, "The value of gold-filled is greater than gold-plated because gold-filled has an actual layer of karat gold, not just a microscopic film."

Copper has been used for pain relief of arthritis, post-traumatic stress, and inflammation.

"Copper worn next to the skin has been considered a natural home remedy for the discomfort of inflammation, joint problems and connective tissue problems for centuries, even thousands of years."
