Announcement   Selvage Bins are Back! Look for more of these fun little bins in my shop - great for storing and organizing small items.

Beautiful quality one of a kind handmade Quilts and Table Runners - a great gift for every occasion! Add some color and warmth to your home with a special quilt. Every item is skillfully made by me in my home studio - every step from choosing the fabrics to sewing the pieces, to the machine quilting. I also make a variety of other fabric items.

I make most of my quilts with a lightweight cotton batting that shrinks on washing, giving my quilts a lovely soft feel and antique look. Some of my quilts feature a lightweight poly batting that is also soft, but does not shrink. My quilts are warm, but not heavy and are suitable for use year round in many climates! The more they are washed and loved the better they get.

Feedback left by my customers:
"Beautiful quilt. Fast delivery. Thank you so much."
"very happy with all the quilted items i purchased! Top quality, prompt easy shipping!"
"Excellent! I'm SOOOOO HAPPY with my purchase! I will be back for another baby quilt in the near future!!!:)"
"The quilt is beautiful! Quality handmade, Pamela has an eye for color and aesthetics. She is also lovely to work with! Thank you so much!!!!!"
"Pam is soooo very amazing!! Her creations have been an inspiration and such a delight for me! The quality of her finished products are professional , clean, and the best of the best of creators of fabric products !!"

I am cleaning out my closet - see my supplies at: http://www.etsy.com/shop/PamelaBsCloset - lots of goodies for sewing enthusiasts!

I get my orders out as quickly as possible, but in the end, the postal service determines when it gets there, I've noticed that shipments are a little slow this time of year. If you are truly on a deadline and must have the item by a certain date, please let me know - I am happy to work with you and will gladly send by overnight service if you are willing to pay the postage.

I am happy to personalize any quilt purchased in my shop with a name. This is an example of what I can do, and I am happy to work with you on color and font options. Perfect for a special gift!
This quilt really goes together quickly! So pretty in Batik - but I need to make one in nautical prints, I think it would be perfect. What fabrics would you like?

About

My day is not complete until needle, thread, and fabric meet.

This quotation (by unknown) totally sums up my feeling about what I do. I am driven to the sewing room to create beauty out of the chaos. Literally! Often times this space looks like a bomb went off. There are so many ideas in my head for quilts and other fun things using fabric that I don't think I will ever get to the end of my list!

The creativity involved in the quilting process totally captivates me. Choosing fabrics, designing a pattern, coming up with a quilting pattern all stimulate my visual creativity. Cutting, precision sewing, doing the math to figure out the finished results are such challenging and rewarding mental pursuits. Doing the machine quilting is like drawing, but better (because I really can't draw well!). The purr of the sewing machine while I manipulate the quilt is truly a joy - seeing the quilt come to life beneath my fingers is almost intoxicating. It really feeds me on so many levels and I can't imagine not being able to stitch my days away.

I'm not sure where my evolution as a quilter will lead me - right now I am very focused on the designing aspect, but I have also explored teaching, creating quilts for shows, and working as a judge. Really, my first joy is simply the process of stitching and making quilts.

I have so much enjoyed the evolution of my shop on Etsy. It started off as a way to diminish my supply of quilts and wallhangings that have accumulated over my years of quilting and has grown to be so much more than that. I have enjoyed getting to know some wonderful people as I have made quilts and other fabric objects for my wonderful customers to enjoy. I have had the opportunity to send quilts all over the world, and really feel that I have been able to impact so many people in a positive way.

As an Etsy seller I have had to learn the ins and outs of shipping and packaging. I strive to keep my shipping reasonable as well as efficient. I keep my packaging simple with the goal of getting my quilts (and other items) to their destinations in perfect condition. Perhaps I should knock on wood, but I can say that I have only had one item not arrive, and that came back to me after 6 months in France! Wish I could have taken that trip as well!

I've grown up around fabric, sewing machine, and needles. I love to create with lots of color and contrast - many of my quilt designs are my own creations and I am offering patterns for many of them in my shop as well!

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

I love to make custom items, but at busy times it can take more time to get them completed. I always try to communicate and if something is needed on a deadline always am willing to try to meet it if possible. Any of my quilts can be personalized with a label on the back with the inscription you ask for. I generally print the labels on special fabric so that they are permanent and can be washed and dried normally.

Sizing details

Unwashed quilts will shrink some when laundered for the first time. I make sure to indicate in the listing whether the quilt is pre-washed or not. I always include the measurements for the item as it is now when shipping to you.

It is not easily possible to make a quilt larger or smaller than it is, that would be a custom request, and I am glad to work with you on that if possible. Many times the same fabric is no longer available so I will have to make substitutions.
