Bag looks great in drawing. I made up the four inch graph paper to draw pattern. I can already see that it will be difficult to get everything to match up precisely. Beware that nowhere in the instructions is the use of a sewing machine mentioned. This bag is made with hand sewing! Had to look up what stab stitching meant. Directions are vague at best. Seller mentioned that she had enhanced directions. If so, then the original must have been wide open for sewing interpretations! Seam allowances are not given for all parts, especially the lining. Fortunately this only cost $3.50, but I'm still disappointed. I am not a novice sewer and have made quite a few bags, but none with instructions so vague. I just want other buyer to beware. I will give this a go and use a sewing machine, but my hopes are not high. Sorry.

I am sorry you feel this way. Firstly this is a Vintage pattern from an old magazine from the 1940's. As any vintage sewer will tell you these are very different. Read through any of these magazines and you will find scant instructions, not photos and step by step as written today. This era was very much make do and mend. Not everyone possessed a sewing machine and had to hand make from old materials. Depending on your choice of fabric, of course the bag can be made on a sewing machine as my other customers of this pattern have done. I note that you have not yet made the bag . I am really sorry you feel this way. I have been on Etsy since 2007 and have very few complaints and always ready to discuss ANY problems you may find before leaving feedback.

Shop policies

Thank you for visiting my shop where I try to maintain a collection of antique and vintage patterns, always adding new items to the list.
Most of the patterns are re-written - they are not simple cut and paste photocopies or scans. By working this way you get a neat, clean easy to follow pattern - all the original information is included and I may add corrections or advice to the new version to clarify a process or instruction. The scanned only patterns are digitally restored and may be enlarged for easy reading.

Accepted payment methods

Payment
Many patterns are now available as Instant Downloads.
For the email patterns these are sent as soon as possible allowing for the difference in time zones - usually within 24 hours - as soon as your payment has been cleared.
I only accept Paypal - thank you.
Shipping
All patterns are sent by email or instant download via Etsy, you will need an up to date version of Adobe Acrobat Reader to be able to view and print off your own copy. The pattern is in a pdf form and in the case of email delivery is sent as an attachment to the email message. Make sure that you give the correct email address and that you do not have a spam filter which will block the message.
For patterns by mail I try to post 1 to 3 days from purchase. I always aim for the cheapest possible and may re-use packaging if appropriate.
Please note that there may be some considerable time delay in actual delivery this is beyond my control and may be due to customs.
Refunds and Exchanges
Due to the nature of sending a pattern by email - I cannot accept a return. However I am always open to discussion and will offer good customer service. I have NEVER let anyone down and to date every person has received their pattern.
Additional policies and FAQs
I am always happy to try to help you in your project... be it stitch pattern, yarn help, sewing advice or any other problem you encounter with one of my patterns.
