Nature inspired paper flower gorgeousness
I create beautiful paper flowers - flowers made from books, made from sheet music, from maps the choices are limitless.
It has been a long journey but it started like this...
Paper Jackdaw was born from my frustration at the lack of unique on the high street; each store I went into stocked the same items. Nothing there spoke to me, said anything about me or the person I was buying for, so I started making more & more of my own gifts & home decor.
As always happens with the creative bug you always have more ideas than house space so the decision to open Paper Jackdaw was made – named after a creature with eclectic tastes & a great fondness for all things sparkling.
I originally trained as a florist, and was taught the traditional way to create bridal bouquets. I bring these skills and traditions when creating paper flower bouquets, to give the flowers more depth & dimension. The flowers in my store are all created from my own designs, I will not bore you with the details of how long I spent studying & then re-studying cymbidium orchids to get the perfect shape (let’s just say lots). I have to say I am really happy with the finished results.
I adore working on bespoke projects it’s a fabulous chance to take a mix of ideas to create something that truly reflects the clients personality & wedding. There is something truly magical about the collaborative process, of working with a client finding the right papers & breathing life into them to create a beautiful & truly unique bouquet, buttonhole or headdress to make a special day just a little more special.
How it works:
Once you have placed an order I start tracking down papers that I think fit your colour scheme, I email you an image of the papers along with images of coordinating ribbon for the bouquet handle for your approval or tweaks (it’s a big day we want to make sure it’s right). I can also post samples if required. When the papers are agreed I start creating, cutting, gluing, varnishing etc. then I make your bouquet but before it is fully finished I email/convo images of your flowers to make sure you are happy with it. When you are I add the finishing touches package them with love & care into specially designed packaging, then I entrust them to Royal Mail -using their tracked & signed for service for UK deliveries your flowers should be with you the next day. No problem if you are outside of the UK I will advise before commencing your order the advised delivery time.
I would love to work with you to create a little portion of loveliness that adds up to making your unique day even more special.
