Papillon Vintage Shop

We love vintage and are always out shoping for new finds for our shop. Stop by to see what we have recently found. We have sold to stylists, costumers, designers and discerning buyers like you. Pieces have been sold to: Marc Jacobs, Free People, Masters of Sex, The Astronauts Wives Club, An American in Paris, to name a few.
We also operate HootenannyVintage1, a small Etsy shop which offers vintage home décor and collectibles. As interior designers we have an eye for the beautiful and unusual.

We do not accept returns. Due to the nature of vintage, each piece is one of a kind and may be fragile.
You can contact us through our Etsy convo M-F, 9-5 with any inquiries.
Any abandoned parcels which have been returned to us will be resent at the buyer's request. Buyer is responsible for any additional shipping costs. If the piece is unclaimed it shall be restocked without a refund.
International sales: All customs fees and VAT are the responsibility of the buyer. Check with your local custom's office to find out what the costs will be.
We will accept layaway for items of higher value. Contact us and we will open an invoice through PayPal.
We will reserve an item for 24 hours. We do not offer reserves for longer. If you require more time to pay you may set up a layaway plan.
We do not do trades for our items.

REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES
NO RETURNS/FINAL SALE on vintage items.
Read the measurements and descriptions. We do not accept returns for pieces that do not fit you.
All of our items are vintage they are not new. They are at least 20 years old and in most cases much more than that. We do our best to point out any flaws in the description and photos. It is your responsibility to read the description in full, check all measurements, and look carefully at all the photos. If you have any questions, please contact us prior to purchasing an item. Don't expect these pieces to look like new, they are not.
We do not accept returns on items which have been worn and damaged by the buyer.
Vintage pieces can be fragile. There is no implied insurance or warranty on how the piece will wear.
Computer monitors and mobile device screens read colors differently. We are not responsible for color shifting or inaccurate color reading on your devices. We do not accept returns based on color.
We are a small online shop, not a large corporation or brick & mortar location. Each piece is special and one of a kind. Thank you for your understanding.

DAMAGED IN TRANSIT: Should a piece be damaged in transit, 1. Keep all packaging materials as the postal service will want to inspect them for damage. 2. Take photographs of packaging and damage for the postal service to inspect. 3. Fill out paperwork with the postal service. They will be your contact for reimbursement of damages.
Payment
We accept PayPal and Etsy direct checkout. We ship all purchases within 1-2 days of receipt of payment. California state taxes are applied to all purchases in the state. Taxes are charged for other states as the law requires, WA + PA taxes are collected, Etsy transfers the $ to the proper authorities.
Shipping
SHIPPING FOR MULTIPLE ITEMS: We’ll gladly combine shipping for multiple items; contact us for the pricing. This does not include large items such as coats. If the shipping calculator does not accurately record the shipping costs we will contact you requesting the additional shipping fees.
SHIPPING:
Domestic - We ship all our items with Priority Mail which includes tracking and insurance. Larger packages may be shipped Standard or through UPS or Fed Ex in order to reduce costs.
International Shipping: Contact us for a quote and terms of sale.
All our packages are hand delivered to the post office. Once they are shipped, it is the responsibility of the buyer to track their packages. Tracking info is included with each invoice, as available. Tracking is not available to some countries. Once a package has been processed through the postal service it is out of our hands.
We ship most items in white poly bubble envelopes. We wrap each piece in tissue and secure with a ribbon. Pieces that are larger will be shipped in boxes.
We use recycled materials as often as we can. Always clean & green.
Domestic shipping time: We ship our items within 2 business days. Often, we ship within 24 hrs.
You can expect your package within one week unless it has been sent Standard Postage which can take up to 3 weeks. Tracking & insurance is provided for every item as available through postal service.
International Shipping Time: 1-2 days to ship. Allow 2-6 weeks delivery time for your items. It has to go through many hands and customs too.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please be sure to read all measurements carefully. Allow a few inches to move in the waist and hip area. If your waist is 27" a garment with a 27" waist will be too small.
It is best to measure against a piece that you own which is similar in style or cut to allow accurate fit.
Please remember that vintage items are not new. Even the dead stock items with tags have been stored for years and may have small signs of wear. Our pieces are one of a kind. We do not have multiples in various sizes. We try to be as accurate as possible in describing the condition of each item. Please remember all pieces vary in age from 20 years and more.
Condition Chart
Mint - As new with absolutely no flaws or wear.
Excellent - Used with a few flaws, has been worn.
Very Good - Visible wear with minor flaws and/or addition repairs needed.
Fair - Numerous flaws, repairs needed, fragile.
Poor - Extensive damage, for display or study.
All clothing is either hand washed, dry cleaned or steam cleaned. We repair loose seams, buttons & hems. We try to repair and restore all items that we sell.
Sometimes there may be an additional flaw that we have overlooked. We try to bring vintage pieces in their best condition to you.
We are a small business therefore we try very hard to give you excellent customer service and have a sense of integrity in out business dealings with you, our customers.
