Parchment Posies - A Step Back
I'm an old soul, certainly born in the wrong era. I think it would be so wonderful to wear a white ruffled blouse and a long linen skirt with button up shoes everyday. I want to wear my hair in a puffy gibson girl up do topped off with a flower covered hat. How divine it would be to close the top button of my blouse with a cameo before finally slipping on my gloves to venture out to church of a Sunday morning.
Since my vintage sensibilities could not be denied, Parchment Posies was established to provide the style and quality of a bygone time to the modern world. All of the feminine and floral, lacy and old fashioned style that I have a love affair with, have found a home in my new shop. As women have done for generations, I learned at the hands of other women and men who were willing to take the time to teach me these invaluable skills. The education and instruction they provided is unparalleled.
The goods I produce are a labor of love for me. I invest myself in each design, just as a milliner would have done in years past to make the perfect hat. I search out the best quality papers, fabrics, and embellishments for my projects and stand behind my work with honesty and integrity. The handmade workmanship, customer service, care, and quality that were expected a century ago are the foundation of Parchment Posies. I hope my shop will give you an opportunity to step away from the here and now and experience a little taste of the past.
I'm a southern girl through and through and have always loved everything frilly, floral and above all, old. Weddings are the perfect outlet for my creative bent and I love, love, love working with brides (and grooms) to make their day special.
Accepted payment methods
If payment does not clear within 10 days, the order will be cancelled and the item re-listed for purchase.
I charge sales tax on all purchases from the state of Tennessee.
Custom Listings - I am happy to accommodate custom listings for my customers. I do not begin production on custom orders until payment has cleared. When an order is placed and confirmed, I will create a listing specifically for you and then email the link to your Etsy email. If the listing is not purchased within five days, I will contact the customer and then remove the listing or sell it as a standard listing if no further communication is forthcoming.
Custom rush orders will incur a rush fee based on the size and timeline of the order. Fees will be discussed and disclosed to you prior to listing your order.
I charge an additional design fee for custom designs not currently offered in my shop or for extensive changes to current designs in order to cover materials and design time. Fees are based on the desired design services with a minimum fee of $25.
I use USPS shipping for all shipments (first class mail, parcel post, standard, or priority, at my discretion). Shipping can be upgraded by contacting me so that I can give you a quote for your item. I understand there is sometimes a need to have something last minute (especially for weddings) and I will do everything I can to help you get your item when you need it, but I cannot guarantee any shipment"s arrival by a specific day.

All shipping charges are per address. These charges include postage, packaging materials, and transportation of items.
You can only ship to one address each time you checkout. If you are shopping for people at different addresses, you will need to place each order separately or make arrangements with me through the conversation (contact shop owner) feature.
Duties, tariffs, taxes, brokerage fees or any other fees incurred during entry to the nation of delivery or at the point of delivery are the responsibility of the buyer. Please check your customs requirements before ordering if you are uncertain about the fees you may incur.
I will gladly guarantee a ship date for your item, however, I cannot guarantee a delivery date. International Shipments can take as few as 5 days and as long as two months, depending on customs. Please plan on the longest ship time. Cost of goods, type of goods, and size and weight of package can all affect shipping times and customs clearance.
If you need your international package quickly or if you need tracking, you will need to contact me for a quote on express shipping. The United States Postal Service cannot track first class mail or priority mail outside of the US. If you need this service, express shipping via USPS or FedEx or UPS will be needed.
Refunds and Exchanges
There are no refunds for any reason beyond 60 days of purchase date due to Paypal policy. If I feel a refund is warranted, you will be asked to return the item to me. If the problem is not related to a mistake on my behalf, then return shipping will be the responsibility of the customer. If I have made an error, I will pay return shipping or I will send a replacement, depending on the situation.
Custom orders are non refundable unless I have made an error in your order and you are unable to receive a replacement before the event you need it for. You must contact me within three days of receiving your item to let me know it isn't correct and if requested, send a picture of the problem so that I can compare it with the information that was given to me. No refunds will be given after the event date has passed.
International orders will not be refunded due to late arrival unless I have been in error posting your package. This would include inadequate postage and improper customs paperwork.
Please be aware that international shipping can take a very long time and all items must clear customs. Check with your nations customs requirements before you order. Some items are not allowed to be imported to certain nations. I can not be held responsible for orders rejected by customs.

I cannot accept names on excel spreadsheets because they are not compatible with the program I use to insert the names. It takes a very long time to convert them to a usable format.
Please double check your spelling, punctuation and capitalization when ordering customized products. I will copy and paste the information, so please remember to use capitals and punctuation where needed. If I see an obvious error or a suspicious spelling, I will contact you to try to make sure, but I might not catch all of them so please be careful with your submission.
IMPORTANT INFO. ABOUT GUEST LISTS...If you are late sending guest names, it will probably delay your order and there will be a rush fee of $50 for late names. Since I schedule wedding orders for every week, when names are late, it moves your order into a week that is already fully booked. If you are going to be late with your names, please contact me right away. If I have scheduling gaps, I will work with you and I will be as lenient as possible, however, I reserve the option of canceling your order if names are late and your order cannot be made in time for your wedding.
Q: What is a custom order?
A: An order created for you based on your needs. It might be a custom quantity, color, combination of items, or any other changes to a standard listing.
Q: I like your style but I have a certain theme or idea, can you make it for me?
A: Most of the time I can design a pattern that will meet your needs and desires. I will collaborate with you to make a design that fits for you. I have MANY more images and patterns that I can work with. If you want it, just ask.
Q: Is it free to have a custom order or is there an extra charge for that?
A: I do not charge any extra for changes to existing listings such as font, or color. If you need extensive changes or would like a custom designed item, I charge a design fee based on the complexity of the request. My minimum fee is $20 for custom designs which covers labor and materials for prototypes.
Q: How do I pay for these? Do I pay now or when they are finished?
A: Full payment is needed at the time of placing an order. If your budget does not allow for this, please contact me so that we can work out a solution that meets your needs.
Q: Do you print names and table numbers on the escort cards?
A: Yes, fees for this service are noted in the description of each listing where the service is offered.
Q: I am having a destination wedding, can you ship these directly to my wedding location?
A: I can ship them to your venue. If your wedding will be held outside the US, please read the international shipping information before making this decision and contact the venue or hotel to confirm that they will accept your package.
Q: Do you offer a discount on large quantities?
A: I have priced my items for bulk wedding orders and don't offer discounts on most orders. I do offer a discount of 15% for particularly large orders, which would be any quantity over 200.
Q: Can these be delivered before my wedding?
A: I will do everything possible to get your items to you on time. I can guarantee a shipping date, but not a delivery date. Most domestic orders will arrive within a week of shipping. If you are ordering at the last minute, there is always the possibility that your package will not get to you in time. Please keep shipping times in mind when ordering. International orders can take as long as two months to arrive, so give yourself lots of extra time if ordering from outside the US. If you need shipping upgrades, just contact me and I can adjust your listing accordingly.
Q: Can these be ordered in other colors?
A: 99% of the time the answer is yes. Most patterns can be adjusted to match just about any color. Paper colors for tents and backings are somewhat limited to what is available on the market.

All the images I use in my products are in the public domain. I have researched to the best of my ability to make sure no copyrighted images have been used. Items published prior to 1923 are in the public domain and are free to use. I use postcards, calling cards, photos, and advertisements from a personal family collection as well as nationally published public domain graphics, purchased digital clipart, and my own designs.
