How Parischick Paper Boutique was created
The idea to open an online shop was first suggested by a friend who told me that an internet business would be a great source of extra income. At that time, I was not earning much money and so I decided to follow his advise; however, I had no idea where I would open this business. One day I was talking with another friend who told me she had started selling hand made chocolates on Etsy. She told me how Etsy was an e-commerce site dedicated to handmade goods. I checked out Etsy and was delighted with the way the site was presented. So I decided to open a shop here. The next step was deciding what I would sell. I am very artistic and creative. I have always loved doing crafts with paper and in the past, I had worked at my father's printing business and I was familiar with the graphic arts. So I decided to open a paper boutique that sells party favors, tags, ribbons and gift boxes. I named my shop Parischick because I love everything French. That is why so many of the items I sell have a French influence. I opened my shop on October 31, 2010. At first, sales were slow, but with time my sales increased. My advise to new shop owners is not to give up but keep working at what you love and ultimately it will pay off. Quality and excellent customer service is my goal. I am a one-woman shop, but I try to do designs that appeal to everyone who loves detail. My designs are made using colors that I love. I also try to deliver the items on timely manner and sooner if possible. I love what I do, and working at my craft is not really work - it is having fun!

IT IS VERY HELPFUL to include the date of your event and/or the date when you would need the items when ordering. If necessary, I may need to prioritize my shipping according to order of events. Otherwise, I do ship in order of purchase.

Refunds and Exchanges
The items in my shop are made to order. I also provide very accurate dimensions to give the buyer an accurate idea of what they are purchasing. So PLEASE READ THE ITEM DESCRIPTION VERY CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU BUY and make sure you really want the item you choose before you purchase it. Please ask as many questions as you want to ask before purchasing an item so that you will be happy with your purchase. Once an order is placed, cancellations will not be accepted. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
Once I ship an item, I am not responsible for what happens after the item leaves my shop. I will provide you a tracking number with delivery confirmation. I am also very careful about packing your item to ensure it arrives intact when you get it. Once the package is in transit to you via USPS, FEDEX or UPS, I am no longer responsible for what happens to the package. If damage to the package occurs or the package is delayed through mishandling by the shipping company during transit, you are solely responsible for seeking a resolution with the shipping company involved. Please make sure that the address you provide for shipping is your correct address because I will ship to the address you provide.
Additional policies and FAQs
If you are not sure whether your order can be done by a certain date, please contact me first before buying the item. Do not purchase an item and then request a rush order in the notes to seller. The rule of thumb is contact me first if your order needs to be delivered faster than 2 weeks. I will respond back to you that same day and advise you whether I can accommodate a rush order. If you do not contact me first to ask whether I can accommodate a rush order, I reserve the right to cancel the transaction immediately and refund your money. Please note that rush orders may require an additional charge for priority mail shipping, so ask about this before you make a purchase. I do not do overnight shipping so please plan accordingly when you place your order. Again, please try to place your order at least 2 weeks before your event, otherwise contact me first to see if I can accommodate your rush order. Do not purchase an item and then request a rush order in the notes to seller.
I welcome custom orders. Contact me regarding your ideas and I will work with you to create what you have in mind for your special event.

CUSTOM ORDER REQUEST
Please DO NOT use the "request a custom order" button unless you want a custom order designed for you and you intend to purchase the item. Requests for custom listings must be paid within 48 hours or the listing will be removed and the transaction cancelled. Do not use the request a custom order button for questions regarding listings, to request discounts, or to ask me to show a proof for a design. The best way to ask questions is through Etsy conversations as there is a record for future reference.
CHANGES TO DESIGN OF ITEM
Regarding adding extra lines of printing to a tag, printing in the back of a tag, or making any other changes to a design please contact me first before you buy to ask if this can be done. Any additions to a design will incur an additional cost, so keep that in mind. So please ask first before you purchase so that we can get all the details in order before you place your order and you won't be disappointed.
Please note that if you do not follow this policy, I reserve the right to cancel your order and refund your money.
Please note that DISCOUNTS ARE NOT OFFERED on any of my items listed price. This is due to the amount of time and detail involved in designing and creating each uniquely handmade item in my shop. I DO NOT OFFER DISCOUNTS FOR LARGE QUANTITIES EITHER because I do not get any price breaks in my supplies when I produce a large quantity order, so I cannot pass a discount to you as I don't get one. The price quoted on my listing is the BEST price I can offer without compromising the quality of my work. So again, I DO NOT GIVE DISCOUNTS.
LOST/DAMAGED GOODS POLICY:
Items purchased from my shop are always securely packaged and promptly shipped by the shipping date printed on your sales receipt or even sooner if possible. However, unforeseen problems may rarely occur during shipping transit and/or upon delivery that are beyond my control. After the date of shipment from my shop, if the package is damaged, lost, stolen, misdirected during USPS sorting, or delivered to the wrong address by the shipping company while in transit and/or upon delivery or the shipping company (USPS, FEDEX OR UPS) is unable to deliver and/or causes delays in delivery due to weather conditions, wild fires, strikes, government shutdowns, or during high periods of shipping volume such as the holiday season, etc.; the customer is solely responsible for seeking resolution of monetary loss with the shipping company involved. I will assist customer in supplying any information necessary for the completion of customer's claim of loss. However, customer must file a claim with the carrier in the event of loss or damage. If postal insurance is desired, please let me know and I will set up a custom listing for such. First Class Mail shipping prices quoted on all listings DO NOT include insurance.
