About

Vintage Revisited

What started out as a collection of vintage clothing from relatives, has now become a successful business for my husband Tom and I with an emphasis on clothing and accessories from the past. I also offer custom, one-of-a-kind costumes from my private collection (retired costume designer).

A little history on the company name - I grew up in an area of railroad yards so everything was very industrial in design. This was the inspiration for the company header and logo. As for the name, "Parkwater Princess", that was bestowed upon me when I was selected to be the princess for the City of Parkwater and ride on the lead wagon in their annual neighborhood children's parade . . . such a proud moment for any six year old.

Being a real "baby boomer" - nothing goes to waste. All things have a second life, fabric in particular. One of my guilty pleasures is my humungous collection of vintage fabric and costume sewing patterns (over 300). An off shoot of this (some would say an addiction) is my new line of up-cycled aprons and garments featuring recycled vintage fabric and patterns.

You'll find when visiting with the Parkwater Princesss my love for showcasing items in groups such as "All Pink Week " or "Vintage Bowling" pieces. I feel you have to keep things interesting and changing to attract new friends and customers.

One of the biggest joys of this whole process is having the rare opportunity to meet the most interesting people when out looking for pieces. I like to think of it as a real life treasure hunt.
