A close up of one of two Custom Braille Pendants made a little while back. (It reads LOVE, by the way...)
One of the photos from my last Ogham Pendant photo shoot. Since Etsy listings are limited to 5 photos this one sadly didn't make the cut. Thought it could use some recognition though.

Just finishing up some of my Kanji pendants. They are slowly becoming one of my best sellers. (Okay, maybe not that slow...)

About

Parts & Accessories by NC

Okay, what idiot decided to come up with a name THAT long? Oh, wait. That was me, huh?

I do everything around here, from making each piece of jewelry and firing it in the kiln, to packing it up and bringing it to the Post Office. The only thing I don't do is deliver the packages right to your door, that would be just plain creepy.

Parts & Accessories by NC has been a one girl operation since officially opening its first on-line shop in March 2010. Up until then, I had only been creating things for myself, but there's only so much jewelry a girl needs. (Wait. Did those words just come out of my mouth?)

The majority of the jewelry in my shop is made using Metal Clay. Metal Clay is a substance containing reclaimed Silver particles held together by an organic binder. (that's right, it's green.) The clay can be formed and molded just like any other type of clay, but once it's fired in a kiln it becomes a solid piece of .999 Pure Silver, which is awesome because I can form metal into anything I want without the risk of burning myself. (Unless of course I don't wait for the kiln to cool down after a firing, which I usually don't, so-- You know what, just forget that whole "not burning myself" part.) I also make a few pieces with Gold, Copper, Bronze & even Steel Clay. (Almost exactly like Silver Clay, just substitute out the metal.)

In August, 2013 I even became a Certified Metal Clay Artisan.

Nowadays most jewelry, or really, anything else for that matter, isn't made to last more than a couple years, which really sets my pieces apart from the rest of the field. (That and the fact, well have you seen my jewelry?)

Because of the time I put into each piece and the fact that they are solid metal, they will stand up to the test of time and last a lifetime. (Probably centuries longer than that, but I didn't want to get all morbid on you and turn you away...)

No wait. Please come back.....Oh. You're gonna go look at my jewelry? Ah, wonderful. Off you go. Have fun storming the castle...

Yup, that's me. But don't let that twinkle in my eyes fool you. I wasn't kidding about the evil genius part....

Much like a platypus, he doesn't do much. Though every once in a while I do catch him wearing a fedora. Weird, right?

By having a select few of my pieces cast instead of making them one at a time with metal clay, I'm able to offer them at a more affordable price. That by no means changes the quality of my jewelry. All fabrication & finishing is still done by me

GENERAL INFORMATION: All jewelry is hand made in New England and shipped out usually by the next business day unless otherwise noted, or unless Imhotep comes back from the dead yet again.
Parts & Accessories by NC ships worldwide so please Convo me for international rates and restriction on jewelry. I'd love to ship universally, but with the prices of rocket fuel it's damn near impossible.

PHILOSOPHY: I'm not really looking for truth, besides, that class is down the hall, I'm more of a FACT type girl myself.

Accepted payment methods

Payment
PAYMENT: I accept credit cards directly through Etsy, as well as their gift cards. I also accept PayPal. Though I might also barter moon rocks and alien skulls.

Paypal Users: Please make sure that once you are finished with checkout through PayPal that you click back to Etsy and finish the transaction here or it won't go through and your order will get canceled and I will shed a few tears while Franklin (green guy pictured in shop banner) re-lists the item for me.
Keep in mind that e-checks usually take a week to clear, but using a credit or debit card, even from the same account as the e-check, (I don't get it either) will transfer the money instantly, so there is no hold up with getting your items shipped to you.

CONNECTICUT CUSTOMERS: Unfortunately we live close enough to each other that I must charge you 6.35% on your purchase as well as shipping. I don't make the rules, I just play by them. Most of the time...
Shipping
INSURANCE: Insurance is included on all jewelry. Even though I pack everything better than an egg-drop competition champ, I've run into many a postal postal worker in my day to chance it.
Don't get me wrong though, there are some absolutely wonderful mailmen/women out there (shout out to Louie) but I'm not about to take my chances with a piece of jewelry I've worked hard on for hours and sometimes even days; that's what the casino is for.

U.S. SHIPPING: All items are shipped out First Class Mail which usually takes 2-5 days from the day I ship.

U.S. RUSH DELIVERY: I'm pretty impatient when it come to ordering things online myself so I also offer Priority Mail (2-3 days) and Priority Mail Express (1 business day) on all orders. Shipping speeds and prices can be found under the Shipping & Policies tab of each listing page as well as on Your Shopping Cart page.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: Due to international shipping restrictions (and trust me, there are hundreds of pages of them) I can only ship to certain countries and each country requires me to ship a certain way (Priority Mail or Registered Mail) Researching restrictions on each country is a bit time consuming, but I'm adding new countries all the time. If you don't see your country in the list of ones I ship to in the drop-down menu located at the bottom of each listing please Convo me and I will check restrictions and add your country to the list if I can.

INTERNATIONAL RUSH DELIVERY: Please Convo me for pricing.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS & DUTIES: Buyer is responsible for paying all customs and duty fees. Like you, I buy things from all over the planet and know how painful those are, but trust me, it's totally worth it.
Refunds and Exchanges
RETURNS: Unfortunately returns cannot be accepted at this time unless the wrong item is shipped, or aliens take over the world.
Additional policies and FAQs
1-Off SERIES:
Pieces in my 1-Off Series are just that, one of a kind. They are made by hand, so no 2 will ever be alike.
The descriptions state that they take 1 to 2 weeks to ship out, but it only takes that long during a worst case scenario e.g. the storm of the century, a deadly plague, or some other Stephen King mini series. Usually I can finish a piece in 48-72 hours.
Sometimes I may even make a piece before anyone orders one, (my hand don't do too well in Neutral, they prefer Drive) in which case I can ship the piece out the next business day.

CUSTOM WORK: Usually I'm up for the challenge of custom work, Oh, who am i kidding, I've yet to turn down a custom piece. Just send me a Convo with your idea and we can work something out. Full payment is due up front and there are no returns on custom pieces.

Parts & Accessories by NC is a Smoke Free environment; save the occasional burnout. But those only happen on the race track...

Frequently asked questions

What is Precious Metal Clay or PMC?

To learn about Precious Metal Clay and my process, please check out my About section.

What is the difference between Fine Silver & Sterling Silver?

Sterling silver contains at least 92.5% of pure Silver (which is why you see the ".925" stamp on Sterling pieces) and 7.5% of another metal. (Usually copper, but sometimes Zinc or Nickel, which is what most people are allergic to when they can't wear Sterling Silver, not the Silver itself.)
Fine Silver contains 99.9% of pure Silver. The higher silver content not only means there is much less of any other type of metal (helping with allergies) but also that it won't tarnish as fast a Sterling Silver.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept Paypal, as well as all major credit cards through the Paypal site. (and no, you don't need to have a Paypal account to purchase something with a credit card)

How soon do you ship from time of purchase?

Processing times for each item can be found under the "Shipping & Policies" tab on their listing page.
Ready to Ship will usually get sent out next business day.
Made to Order pieces take about 1-2 weeks before I can ship them out.

Do you offer more than one shipping speed?

Yes. To see all shipping speeds/prices for an item please add it to your Cart and all its shipping info will be provided on the Shopping Cart page.

Do you sell wholesale?

Of course. For order minimums and wholesale policies, please send me a Convo.

Why don't you ship to my country?

Sadly it's not up to me, but decided by the shipping restrictions on Precious Metals set by each individual country. Laws are changing all the time though, so hopefully one day I'll be able to ship everywhere on the planet. (or even the galaxy)

Do you accept returns?

Unfortunately returns cannot be accepted at this time.

Who's the creepy green guy on the top of your main shop page?

Oh, that's Franklin. He's my unofficial mascot. (hopefully someday we can make it official!) And once you get to know him, you'll discover he's quite friendly.

What's with the name?

It's a long story...
