Hello, I am Pauline, the creator of Touk Touk ceramics.

I am 41 years old and I live in Angers, in the west of the France, with my lover, our little boy and my faithful assistant Scratchy 😺

Ceramist essentially self-taught, I create jewelry and small decorative objects, in my mini workshop of 13m2, located in an independent part of the house. My creations reflect my taste for playful colors and shapes.

Why this name, Touk touk? Above all, for its funny sound. And also for the reference to these small singular vehicles, the DIY and colorful style so nice, which reflects rather well the state of mind that reigns here :-)

I launched Touk Touk ceramics very recently in 2021, after 2 years of ceramic practice. This new company succeeds my 1st jewelry brand, Party Pop. I loved making jewelry and I wanted to take it to the next level by working with ceramics. In 2019, this dream came true. Now I'm totally addicted and I can't imagine doing without it.

Each of the pieces is entirely handmade by me. I shape it from clay, then let it dry for several days before sanding and cooking it for the first time at 1000 ° C. I then apply a decoration to the engobe and transparent enamel and then bake it again at 1000 ° C. Finally, the pieces with a 22K gold decoration go back to the oven a 3rd time at 730 ° C, before being meticulously assembled with love.

I take great pleasure in designing and manufacturing my little colorful pieces, and I hope that they also bring to my client.es joy and cheerfulness in their daily lives ❤️.

J’ai 41 ans et je vis à Angers, dans l’ouest de la France, avec mon amoureux, notre petit garçon et ma fidèle assistante Scratchy 😺

Céramiste essentiellement autodidacte, je crée des bijoux et de petits objets décoratifs, dans mon mini atelier de 13m2, situé dans une partie indépendante de la maison. Mes créations reflètent mon goût pour les couleurs et les formes ludiques.

Pourquoi ce nom, Touk touk ? Avant tout, pour sa sonorité rigolote. Et aussi pour la référence à ces petits véhicules singuliers, au style bricolé et coloré si sympathique, qui traduit plutôt bien l’état d’esprit qui règne ici :-)

J’ai lancé Touk Touk céramique tout récemment en 2021, après 2 années de pratique de la céramique. Cette nouvelle entreprise succède à ma 1ère marque de bijoux, Party Pop. J’ai adoré faire des bijoux et j’avais envie de passer à l’étape supérieure en travaillant la céramique. En 2019, ce rêve est devenu réalité. Désormais je suis totalement addict et je n’imagine plus m’en passer.

Chacune des pièces est entièrement réalisée à la main par mes soins. Je la façonne à partir d’argile, puis la laisse sécher plusieurs jours avant de la poncer et de la cuire une première fois à 1000°C. J’applique ensuite un décor à l’engobe et de l’émail transparent puis l’enfourne à nouveau à 1000°C. Enfin, les pièces comportant un décor à l’or 22K repassent une 3e fois au four à 730°C, avant d’être assemblées minutieusement avec amour.

Je prends beaucoup de plaisir à concevoir et fabriquer mes petites pièces colorées, et je souhaite qu’elles apportent également à mes client.es de la joie et de la gaité dans leur quotidien ❤️
