As a table topper, this quilt will go round merrily. It was created for the Empire State Carousel Weekend on July30th at the Farmers' Museum in Cooperstown, NY. Somehow Diane calculated how to accommodate one horse in each section of an octagon. The bi-color middle represents the canopy with specialized stitches providing the typical scalloped edge. The size of the horses and position of their heads create the illusion of alternating up-and-down position while the swirling stitches simulate rotating motion. This Patchwork Mountain carousel has as much claim to novelty and artistry as the historic hand-carved Empire State Carousel. One of a kind!

Excellent quality, very attractive runner and fun to use for the holiday. I have purchased several runners from Patchwork Mtn and they are all wonderful and very durable.

About

Hello and welcome to Patchwork Mountain!

I’ve been sewing for many years, starting out as a child when I first learned to sew my own clothes. After designing and creating many different sewing projects, that creativity blossomed when I was introduced to the world of quilting. What started as making crafts and sewing my own clothes quickly evolved into creating homemade patchwork quilts. In 1999, my passion for quilting led me to open an online fabric shop, where I could share my inspiration with other crafters. As much as I loved the fabric, I soon became too busy with the shop and no longer had the time to do both quilting and manage a store. So, I closed my shop and returned to my true passion, quilting.

While I have always loved the colors and patterns of fabric, I have found new love in creating handmade patchwork art using a collection of different, quilt-shop quality fabrics.
Drawing inspiration from nature and my surroundings, I take time to thoughtfully design and detail each and every piece. Knowing that quilted art can beautifully accent any room, my designs blend new art techniques with the elegance of traditional quilting. My collection includes lap quilts, wall quilts, table runners, table toppers and pot holders. The handmade patchwork quilts and table runners are sewn in an variety of styles and sizes to ensure that you can perfectly decorate your home.

I take pride in my work and use only the highest quality fabric, batting and thread. Each piece is designed and handmade in a smoke-free, pet-friendly home. It is my hope that my enjoyment in creating each piece and passion for quilting will be reflected in all of my work and can be shared with you!

Thank you for stopping by. Feel free to look around and let me know if you have any questions. I quilt new pieces regularly, so please be sure to check in often.
