The Patchy Faun Story.

One thing we’ve learnt is that you cannot underestimate the smallest connections and encouragements, the smallest ideas and suggestions. Who knows what they will manifest into. Patchy Faun was born out of a hole in Nick’s favourite fisherman pants and a desire to patch it up. Soon, he was patching his girlfriend’s clothes, and started up-cycling clothes he found that needed new life in them. He crafted himself a vest, then pants, and soon was asked to make his friend some pants. Materials were given to him, he started creating more and more... And one day ran in to a crazy feral, soon to be a dear friend, running a stall at a bush doof, who upon seeing Nick’s incredibly unique gloves, exploded with excitement and told Nick to start his own business. His wife’s sister soon after was daydreaming what her near-and-dear’s would be in magical animal form - and looking at Nick, pronounced him a Faun. And a Patchy one he was. With a lot of help from family and friends, Patchy Faun took to life, and hasn’t stopped evolving since. Up-cycling pre-loved thrown away jackets, creating unique items of clothing and lifestyle that amazingly find the perfect owner’s to suit them, Patchy Faun also extended to unique crocheted beanies, scoodies, carved spacers (plugs), and unique baggy pants and t-shirts.

Our desire is to create unique garments tailored to individuals, to express yourselves as freely as you fancy, wear what fosters your lifestyle, to live deeply and richly with the beautiful individuals we meet, and to consciously bring about intent and purpose in our lives to create more positive inspiration in the world.

Shop policies

Last updated on September 6, 2013
Patchy Faun started on 13/06/2011. We are a company that hand creates items of clothing and accessories tailored from our imagination. Creativity is most valued. We make unique styled clothing aimed mostly toward men, giving a wider range in styles for men to be able to express themselves, as have women been more able to. Patchy Faun creates patchy clothing (vests, jackets, fisherman pants etc.), and stone/wood jewellery (spacers, pendants, dread beads etc.).

Patchy Faun is a mobile business, travelling from festivals to markets as well as catering to an online clientele. We focus on developing relationships with customers, meaningful exchanges which empower people to express themselves. Patchy Faun was created by Nick Price, the purpose being for Nick to be self-employed & self-sufficient, without the worry of working for another. His natural passion for creativity, coupled with his desire to form Patchy Faun, and his gifting with textures and materials, has been his platform for self-employment. The inspiration for Patchy Faun has been brought about by both coincidence and an openness to opportunities; as all the equipment and large amounts of materials have been given to Nick over the last couple of years; hinting and prompting him to develop his artistic nature and desire for self-sufficiency.
