This is such a beautiful, artsy ring! I purchased this ring in Aquamarine, and I am so pleased with the color of the stone and the shimmer. I do not see any inclusions with the naked eye. Also the silver work is excellent and very nicely polished. I will try to upload a photo of the ring on my hand, as I couldn't find any photos like that, that show the scale of the ring. (The photo I took makes the stone look more like a blue topaz, but that is the fault of the photo.) The Aquamarine is lovely and looks the color it should. I highly recommend this shop!

I have a passion for gems and gold, and I play with them all day long.

How did this all start?

When I was 5 years old, I found a crystal in the dirt at a landfill near my house in Branford, Connecticut. It was magical. It captured my heart and shaped my future. Ever since my greatest passions have been to find, hold, polish and mold gems, silver, and gold.

I grew up a nature boy. Fish and squirrels, rocks and turtles and frogs were my childhood companions. At age 15 I read The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien, and later in college The Lord of the Rings and Silmarillion. I feel like I am part Dwarf and part Elf; the Dwarf for the lusty thrill I get in the mining and crafting of gems and gold. And the Elf for the reverential artistry and fine workmanship in themes that reflect a love for growing things and all of nature. I'm also part scientist, part engineer, part philosopher, and part spiritualist.

In college I majored in Zoology and Botany, with lots of Geology and Art classes thrown in for fun. I opened my first jewelry store in Ogden, Utah in 1975 where I sold my hand made jewelry. A few stores later, I took 9 years off from the full time jewelry business to teach Biology and Earth Science at Davis High School in Kaysville, Utah. I returned to jewelry in 1988, and went through a few more retail incarnations including one shop in the 90's that sold gold mining and metal detecting supplies right along side hand crafted jewelry and watch repairs. Several more business models followed until I finally founded Badali Jewelry Specialties, inc. in 2002. I'm the president. We started with 3 people in 2002, and there are 11 of us now in 2014. It's still growing.

Running Badali Jewelry is my "Day" job. But what I sell here on Etsy is me doing "My Own Thing" with silver, gold, and gems. Everything I sell on Etsy I make by myself with my own gems. After 63 years, I have a dragon hoard of gemstones; and I keep digging, cutting, and buying more. I plan on another 50 years of this; at the very least.

I have been making silver and gold jewelry with gemstones since 1975. I have operated 8 different jewelry businesses in that time. I am currently the president of Badali Jewelry and have 8 employees. But everything I sell on Etsy I make myself.

Hello from Paul The Jeweler! Gem stones and handcrafted jewelery have been a huge part of my life for 42 years now. I have a passion for natural gemstones, and I love working with silver and gold. I have a huge personal collection of natural gemstones which is always growing, no matter how many pieces of jewelry I manage to get made. I maintain very high personal standards for my craftsmanship; it has to be my personal best, or it goes in the melt down pile. Your satisfaction is my priority. Although I earned the title Master Jeweler many years ago, I have never quit learning and inventing new techniques, and continue to improve my skills for you, my valued customer.

Refunds and Exchanges
Please be sure of the correct ring size BEFORE you order. Please order responsibly so returns are not necessary (Translation: don't guess at the ring size; it will be wrong). Returns harm the shop owner (me). Most of the items I make are customized to your specifications, and as such are not something I can readily or easily sell to someone else. If you have questions or doubts about an item, please ask me about it before making a purchase.

To make a return you must contact me within 3 days of receipt to let me know you would like to refund or exchange an item. Item must be received back within 14 days in original, unworn, undamaged, new condition. Any scratches or damage from wear will be charged for. You are responsible to pay for return shipping. Original shipping will not be refunded. Returned item must be sent by insured mail, and well padded so as to prevent damage. Uninsured items damaged or lost while being returned will not be refunded or exchanged. If your item is not right for you, please contact me so we can work out an exchange, or so I can fix the problem for you. Your total satisfaction is very important to me.
Additional policies and FAQs
I like to do custom orders, but time for custom work has become hard to find as I have become much busier. Please contact me to let me know exactly what you are looking for, and I will let you know if it is something I can do for you. If you like one of my styles but would like a different stone in it, I can probably do that for you. If you are looking for something different than you see; let me know. I have thousands of gemstones to work with. Let's create something together! Please feel free to write me.

I want you to love your jewelry. If there is any reason you are not happy with your purchase, please contact me before leaving negative feedback as a courtesy. Let me make you happy now, and in the future.

Always feel free to email me with any questions or concerns.
