Announcement   My hope is to bring you beautiful, one of a kind pieces of art to enjoy. I use varied decorating techniques and glazes. I enjoy every step of the process, from creating, to carving and glazing.

Creating work for the garden is wonderful as it combines my love of working with clay with the outdoors. Toad Houses and Chickadee Feeders make the perfect gift. The Garden Totems are a challenge, as I put together a puzzle without a guide, left to my imagination.

My work is constantly evolving as I grow as a clay artist.

About

Pottery for life

My work reflects my life. The garden, ocean and my appreciation for handmade art are my passions. I create one of a kind works in clay, primarily for the garden. I create sculptures that will add interest to the garden, that will take the viewer back to their childhood. Influenced by Dr. Seuss and Walt Disney.

I work in my home studio, using both porcelain and stoneware clays. Each piece is thrown on the potters wheel and altered using several decorating techniques. I truly enjoy the altering and decorating techniques I use, as they are one of the most relaxing aspects in my process.

An award winning potter, primarily self taught. I started my training at a local crafts center, and then went out on my own to start my own studio. My work has developed over the years through workshops and trial and error.

Last updated on September 11, 2015
Below are my shipping and other policies. Please have a look at them before purchasing, and please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for shopping my store!

If your purchase is for a gift, I am more than happy to ship directly to the recipient. Please leave a message for me at checkout, and provide me their name and address. I will include a nicely printed note that it is from you (and any message you would like to convey) and include my business card.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
Residents of Massachusetts will be charged sales tax.
Shipping
Currently I only ship within the United States because packing and shipping costs elsewhere for ceramics tend to be prohibitive.

All items are insured with delivery confirmation. Items are shipped promptly through the UPS or USPS.

Shipping costs primarily cover only the cost of shipping which includes insurance and delivery confirmation, but may also include costs associated with packaging (ceramics requires styrofoam peanuts, sturdy cardboard boxes and bubblewrap for safe travel).

IF THERE IT TURNS OUT THAT SHIPPING TO YOUR LOCATION IS LESS THAN ESTIMATED, I WILL REIMBURSE YOU THE DIFFERENCE.

Please contact me if you have any questions. pbarryceramics [!at] gmail.com
Refunds and Exchanges
I must be notified immediately regarding work damaged in shipping, so that it may be reported to the UPS or USPS .
I would like you to be happy with your purchase. If for some reason you are not satisfied contact me within five days of receipt. The buyer is responsible for safe return of work and return shipping costs.
Additional policies and FAQs
Pottery Care
My work is both elegant AND intended for your use and enjoyment. Handmade pottery can need (and happily, deserves) a little more love to prolong its life than contemporary manufactured ware, so while durable and microwavable, hand washing is recommended. Do not pour boiling, stovetop water directly into handmade ware. “Pre-warming” pieces by filling with warm/hot tap water prior to pouring hot water for coffee or tea is recommended.

Conditions of Use
When you purchase anything from Paula J. Barry of Paula Barry Ceramic you agree to hold said name harmless from any loss, damage or injury due to any products purchased from us. Our maximum liability to you is the amount you paid for the item(s) purchased.

Note: I reserve the right to update these policies at any time.
