The mini round cutting board/trivet is absolutely perfect! I was on the hunt for a wooden trivet for my Chemex coffee maker. I prefer to support an American manufacturer, so I turned to Etsy for the search. This small round wooden trivet is exactly what I was looking for. It is very well made and absolutely beautiful! The use of different woods and the natural wood grain is so stunning! Fast shipping too! Thank you for this wonderful Made in USA product!

This is the most beautiful cutting board I've ever seen! The surface is sanded to a silky smooth finish. The wood grain and colors are exceptional. The quality is first-rate. I expect this will last me a good long while. I have searched high and low for a simple 12-inch square cutting board with juice well on the reverse side and couldn't be happier with this one. I will certainly plan to buy more cutting boards as gifts and for myself as needed. You can't go wrong with Paul's Specialties! Thank you, Paul, for outstanding quality and value.
Paul's Specialties, a family business of fine wood work
Paul's Specialties was started almost thirty years ago when my oldest daughter was only 3 months old. We bought a house with a two door grage with the plan of making it my wood shop. It has always been a family business, Nancy worked the plainer and saw along with me as we started the business, doing local crafts shows around town. It wasn't long untill I had a proper wood shop built and I was attending craft shows up and down the east coast and the girls started "working in the shop". When my girls were little, 5 and 8, they worked in the shop to earn their allowance, sweeping sawdust and "dipping buttons" for key racks. Yearly summer crafts shows in Harper's Ferry, West Virginia double as family vacations. As Nancy and I worked the booth, Katie and Christine ran around the fairgrounds, watching the storytellers, eating popcorn, and playing with other crafters' kids.
The girls moved out sometime ago but it is never long in between that Christine isn't calling for custom designed initials for decorating her wedding or Katie isn't home raiding my cutting boards. It has been some years since Nancy worked the drill press but has taken on the role of being my web master and I can't wait for her to retire and come to work for Paul's Specialties full time.
I started Paul's Specialties to make simple, clean, elegant furniture and have the flexible to spend time with my family. I make less tables and chairs now switching over to more table top pieces such as cutting boards and lazy susans, but my own home as well as both of the girls apartments are filled with the furniture and items I have made over the years. I now use the flexibility of having my own business to be albe to visit my daughters and take the time to enjoy when they visit. And still thirty years later I am working to create new pieces and keep improving the old ones.
I'm the founder and craftsman at Paul's Specialties. When I am not working in the shop, I like to spend time hunting and fishing with friends, relaxing with my wife, daughters and my dog, Buddy.
Paul's wife, Nancy helped start the business working beside Paul in the shop and at craft shows. When not busy managing the etsy store Nancy works her day job as an elementary school teacher.
