Announcement   Each box does take some time to make and complete, as some of the joints etc, are very intricate. It's a great hobby and I thoroughly enjoy it. I've actually recently just made five electric guitars, but,.......I am not going to sell those. Just another branch of my woodwork interests. I am now setting my sights on making an acoustic guitar (in between boxes).

I have been doing woodwork for a lot of years now, completed making all the timber furniture for this house and now intend to concentrate on smaller items. Small boxes caught my attention recently and now I am addicted to them.

Most of the timber I use is australian native species and then use an oil followed by a wax finish on most of my products.

About

Fell in love with woodworking from my early 20's

In my early 20's and not having any tools I used to attend Tafe, they were called Tech back in the 70s. You could do various courses over any night of the week. I did woodwork and you could use the tools in the high school woodwork rooms.

You could design your project and then get help from the teacher regarding the method and joints etc. After that I started to build up my own tool collection, and in more recent years built all the timber furniture for this house. Running out of projects through some means I come across making small boxes.

This become very addictive, and I now find it challenging to better ones boxes as you go along. Then thrown in the middle of all of this I started to make guitars, a lot more challenging that boxes but a nice variation in direction.

My next challenge is an acoustic guitar as the ones I have made so far are solid body electrics,

I hope you enjoy my site and looking at my boxes,

Paul

Hi and thanks for taking the time to look at my shop. Hopefully I can add to the small number of jewellery/trinket boxes that are there at present. I have been a "woodworker" for over 40 years now and built all the timber furniture in this house. None of it has fallen apart yet, so I dont envisage any of my boxes on here will.
