I am sorry the drinking chocolate was not very chocolatey. We pride ourselves on exhaustive taste-testing to create a product that will make *almost* everybody happy. I reached out to confirm directions were followed; they were. You explained that there was nothing wrong with the product, but that it was just too sweet/not chocolatey enough. You described your go-to: a paste made from Hershey's unsweetened chocolate and water added to milk. It makes sense my product would be too sweet/not chocolatey enough for you since the ingredients of my mix include quite a bit of sugar! I hope this one-star review doesn't dissuade most of us who like sweet hot chocolate from giving it a try, and hope you might consider a 3-star rating for something that simply wasn't to your taste in the future.

The shop owner did not have the listing updated to ship free for orders over $35, and instead, placed the blame on Etsy while also updating the listing after the cancellation. Ironically, if I had placed an order over $35 she would still be paying a large amount for shipping, so the argument is not air tight whatsoever. I also would have expected a refund sooner, but I suppose many Etsy shop owners have lives outside of the shop and are trying to make extra money. Regardless, as a former Etsy shop trying to reenter and as a frequent buyer, I find this shift of blame to be unacceptable. I will not shop here ever. I will instead be purchasing from Dandelion Chocolates in SF, as they actually offer free shipping and that is what my dad enjoys. So much for trying something new and supporting a small shop.

Thank you for your review. I'm so sorry you are unhappy with the service provided. Once I realized I would not be able to fulfill your order as it did not meet the $35 requirement for free shipping, I cancelled the transaction and issued a full refund. I'm sorry this resolution was so disappointing. This is the first time this situation has occurred and I have since made sure it won't happen again. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

5 out of 5 starsThese are really great for wedding favors. So freshly made that you could smell the chocolate even before opening the canisters. We customized them with a sticker from the bride and groom and gave them out with a mini bottle of Schnapps! I don't drink hot chocolate but am waiting for my family to tell me how great it tastes. If it tastes anything like it smells it will be delicious!!! Thank you!
