Video summary: Fun yard sale find! Argus 693 Automatic 35mm slide viewer...I could play with this thing all day!

A Collector's Daughter

Since I was a little girl I watched my dad get excited about the latest addition to his vast camera collection. The smell of old barns and churches and camera leather were a familiar scent to me for these were the places that held those treasures. As an adult, for every Christmas and Birthday I bought him boxes filled with thrift shop and yard sale cameras. I loved watching him look through the boxes for ones he didn't have. It didn't matter if they were worth a fortune or a dollar, if it was something new, he loved it!

When I was growing up, once in a while my father would show me how to open a folding camera or look through an old viewfinder. When I lost him it was heartbreaking to touch it or move it from how he had it displayed...it took me a year or so to get started....this was his life and I needed to responsibly handle it all.

Sadly, when he passed, I knew very little about the cameras that I was now tasked to sell. With the help of some of his friends, my dad's own notes and the internet...I figured it out. It was a journey that I never wanted to be on because I knew it would be without him.

Now...I'm a collector! I thrift shop, buy estates, scour ebay, get donations of old cameras from friends and go yard saling with my bff! But my favorite thing to do (which I never have enough time to devote to) is making jewelry from what other people think is unusable junk like view finders and shutters. By visiting my shop, you are a piece of my journey.

I became a collector after losing my dad who collected. I wish we could have shared the hobby. I now buy them at yard sales & thrift shops. I buy broken ones & salvage beautiful pieces to make jewelry. And friends give me boxes of them!

Frequently asked questions
My item went to the wrong address, what do I do?

Unfortunately, I do not cover items that go to an incorrect or an old address. You are responsible to make sure that the shipping address you have on file with Etsy is correct and you have a 2nd opportunity when you check out to change your address if needed.

If, an item gets returned to me, I will forward it to your correct address, but you must re-pay shipping. If the item does Not get returned to me, I can do nothing. My address is my responsibility when I buy something and so is everyone elses.

Sorry to be so blunt, butI have had people think that I'm respoonsible for their incorrect address. I print my labels here on Esy and it automatically goes to the address thet You have on file with Etsy.

Can I return my item or exchange my item?

Because there are No returns or Exchanges due to the fact that these are vintage pieces in assorted conditions, I encourage you to ask as many questions as you want...it's no bother to me. Also, please see all photos and read the full description of the item prior to purchase.

When will I receive my item?

It takes me 3-5 business days to ship (I usually do it quick, but I get lots of orders during holidays.

I use USPS Priority mail which estimates 1-3 days,if the package is over 16 ounces. If your package is under 16 ounces, I use USPS First Class mail which estimates 2-5 days.

All packages have a tracking # that can be found on your order at the top right hand section of your home page under "Purchases and reviews". I see what you see as far as tracking info.

Once your order has been checked in at the post office and the tracking shows that it is in their possesion, I can do Nothing about it...it is literally out of my hands and I have no control over it. USPS tracking can be frustrating and not updated.

If you left me a note with your order...

Please know that if you use the option of attaching a note for me with your order, that only means something relating to the actual order...Not how it is delivered. For example, someone left me a note to have their package left on their porch, but I don't deliver your package...usps does and they will deliver it however they deliver your packages normally.

Also, you cannot order an item and Then leave me a note to somehow change the item that you ordered. You would have to message me prior to your order to see if I can do what you need.

Do you offer sales or Promo codes?

Nope, I'm sorry, but I don't.
