We live in San Antonio, Texas where we build and paint every piece with love, care, and prayer in our home workshop and studio. Chris is the brawn behind the building and shipping (God bless him for processing all that reclaimed wood), and Lizzie is our designer, painter, writer, tech geek, and marketer.

This little cottage industry of ours came about by complete happenstance. We were always a DIY kind of family and made a number of reclaimed wood signs for ourselves over the years. It NEVER occurred to us that they would be anything more than a very casual hobby… UNTIL October of 2015.

We had created a few special pieces for our baby’s nursery and received so many compliments that we decided to crank out a few simple (and VERY RUSTIC) signs for Christmas. We figured, what the heck! If nothing happens, no harm done, if we sell some, we can increase our Christmas and giving budget. What has transpired since has been nothing short of the favor, grace, and provision of God.

We sold more signs than we ever dreamed we would that first holiday season and it got us thinking… maybe there’s a family business in this. So we launched our full blown sign shop in January 2016 and an Etsy shop in April 2016 and the rest is history. We’ve sold thousands of signs all sent out with prayers and blessings for the precious people we had the privilege to make them for. We’ve expanded, hired help, bought machinery and tools to help us streamline the process, and created such a beautiful life for our family.

Our little business allows Lizzie to work full-time at home while raising our youngest daughter and working on other dreams and business projects, too. It also allows us to give to special causes like Restoring Relationships— a ministry that saved our marriage at a time when we didn’t think it was salvageable, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in partnership with our dear friend Tarah Harl, Lilly’s Lope for Hope which promotes Suicide Awareness, and many more…
