Welcome to Evolutionary Beauty! I live in Austin, TX and started this business after I became unemployed in June of 2011.

I began learning basic beading and wire-wrapping techniques during the fall and winter of 2010 - from classrooms in my local bead shops and from free internet tutorials. I made my first wire wrapped Tree of Life in Feb. 2011 and my craft is continually evolving. I find wire wrapping to be a creative, meditative activity that calms my restless mind and helps me practice patience...and when I'm done, I've produced something beautiful!

In the course of learning how to make jewelry, I developed a bead addiction and have become a voracious collector of the shiny, sparkly little guys. Opening an Etsy store is my attempt to recoup some of the money I've spent on my (rather large) bead collection and to continue the practice of making, making, making!

Payment
Evolutionary Beauty is a registered business and must collect applicable taxes (8.25%). Items will not ship until payment is received. To ensure the protection of the seller and the buyer, PayPal is the "safer, easier way to pay" and is currently the only accepted form of payment.

You do not need a PayPal account to make a payment with this service, however you will need a credit or debit card, or a bank account.

Packages are sent first class mail, in a bubble mailer. First Class Mail packages typically take 5-10 business days to deliver within the US, and 4-6 weeks Internationally.

Shipping Upgrades by Request: Priority shipping generally takes 2-3 business days within the US, and 7-10 business days Internationally. Express Mail service delivers in 1-2 days, and the cost varies based on the destination zip code. (Anywhere from $13-$27 within the US.) If you would like an item shipped via Priority Mail or Express Mail, please convo me before purchase and I can alter the listing's shipping fee! Please, DO NOT request this in the "note to seller." You must convo me in order to have your package upgraded. I will send you a money request through PayPal for the additional postage. You must pay for this before it will be shipped.

International Buyers – Please Note:
Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to purchasing an item, as well as to check your country's shipping restrictions. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up – do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. I recommend all US customers purchase insurance for orders over $30. You must convo me and I will calculate the cost for you and send you a PayPal money request.

All items on my site have been handmade by me, and I spend a great deal of time and effort on each piece. I describe my products as accurately as possible and I post one or more photos of the item you are purchasing. Though I do my very best to represent my pieces accurately, please keep in mind that color may vary from monitor to monitor and whenever dealing with natural materials, there is always some variation in textures and hues.

All natural stones have variations from piece to piece and may differ very slightly from the ones photographed in each listing. If you have any questions on how your exact piece will look, or if you have any additional questions please convo me before purchase.

Customer service is very important to me. I want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If you are unsatisfied with your item upon receiving it, please convo me before leaving feedback so that I may have an opportunity to resolve the situation with you. Due to the nature of custom orders, items that are custom made cannot be returned.

Returns are subject to be given minus the amount of shipping and fees incurred with the transaction of the sale, within a reasonable time frame after the item is delivered (up to 1 week after delivery, and after the item is received back by me.) Return/exchange shipping fees are the responsibility of the buyer.

Unfortunately, I am not responsible for lost or damaged packages. This is why insurance and tracking are highly recommended. However, if your item becomes damaged in an accident unrelated to shipping, please convo me to discuss repairing options.

Need an item held or reserved? Reserved items are held for 24 hours. If no deposit is made, the listing will be returned to regular in-stock availability at that time.

Jewelry care and storage: To prolong the life of your jewelry, a good rule of thumb is "last on, first off." This means that your jewelry should be the last thing you put on after you get dressed and ready for the day, and the first thing you remove before you undress at the end of the day. This is to help prevent your jewelry from catching on the fabric of your clothing and to protect it from absorbing chemicals as you get ready for your day. Perfume, hair spray, etc, should all be applied before you put on your jewelry. Freshwater pearls are porous and thus are particularly susceptible to damage from such chemicals.

Sterling silver will naturally tarnish (oxidize) over time, when exposed to the air. If your sterling silver jewelry contains gemstones or freshwater pearls, it is advised that you use a silver polishing cloth to clean it. Jewelry composed entirely of sterling silver can be cleaned with silver polishing paste or a silver dip solution. You may also take your jewelry to your local jeweler for expert cleaning.
