I'm not super impressed with the quality.
My Etsy shop is a selection of both easily-reproducible clothes and smaller, more impulse-buy or 'treat' items from my Lolita etc. clothing range.
Although I love creating in-depth frocks and daft OTT coats, I also like mucking about with snippets of stuff to make inconsequential wee things. Hence all the wristcuffs.
Little fripperies like that can get lost on a large multi-section website and might only be purchased as an afterthought. So I chuck them all here, and they seem to have found an audience.
Around the web
My shop is full of stuff that is probably totally unnecessary, but which I believe to be nice.
Accepted payment methods
I accept payment by Paypal from everywhere (incl. credit cards, but I can only take cards *through Paypal*), but can take bank transfers on request.
I have removed 'other payment method' as an option due to too many unpaid orders. If you wish to pay by bank transfer, *please send a request first* and I will set up a special listing. I can only take bank transfers from UK and EU customers, and only in £ or Euros respectively.
*I will only send items to your registered Paypal address.*
Please don't request items to be sent to alternatives, and ensure your Paypal and Etsy addresses match.
Cancellations are accepted on non-custom items. Cancellations are not accepted for anything that requires specific measurements.
I do not provide a printed invoice (this is my preference when buying online), as you can see what you've bought and when on your Etsy account, but I will provide one on request.
Delivery upgrades are now available!
*Delivery time estimates are separate from order completion times, which are stated in each listing. Advised delivery time estimates are 2-3 days for UK orders, 7 days for EU countries, and 10-14 days for everywhere else. Please take into account order schedules and delivery times when buying.
*I do combine postage, but have disabled the automatic settings on all but small items as they don't reflect reality. You can either request an amended invoice, or pay normally and I will refund any extra postage amount.
*If your order is over £50 in total you will be charged for either Special Delivery or International Tracked and/or Signed as these have higher levels of insurance.
*UK orders under £50 are now sent by 2nd class Signed-for as standard. 1st class is available as an upgrade at checkout. Both include a tracking number.
*THERE IS NO TRACKING FOR REGULAR AIRMAIL. I get a lot of people asking for the tracking number on parcels that will never have one.
You can upgrade to a tracked method of postage at checkout.
International orders under £50 are sent by regular Airmail as standard. I get a postal receipt for everything and can scan you a copy, but there still won't be any tracking.
*Tracked deliveries typically cost about £5 extra; for example, that's £9 postage on a pair of wrist cuffs to the US. There is no cheap tracking method available.
*Customs *may* charge you. It is the responsibility of the buyer to pay all import charges/customs duties/local taxes etc that may be levied by their respective countries.
I have no control over this and cannot predict if and what might get charged.
I will not falsify customs information.
It is useful to read up on customs practices for your country, so you know what to expect.
*For deadlines on UK orders you can upgrade to Special Delivery, which is next-day.
*Deadlines for international delivery: I will send things within a reasonable timeframe if I think there's a chance they'll arrive for a deadline, but I cannot promise they will arrive when you need them. Tracked and/or signed methods are not necessarily quicker: all Airmail methods are supposed to take around the same time, and you are paying extra for the upgrades not the speed. Delivery times are estimates, *not guarantees*.
*If something is lost, I need to know about it! UK and tracked international items are traceable, but I only keep regular international receipts for about 3 months.
Items will be supplied in plain but functional wrappings, with gift-wrap available on request. I recycle/re-use outer packaging (padded bags etc). and hence do not charge a handling fee.
Refunds and Exchanges
If I've been daft and sent you the wrong item, I will issue a replacement immediately upon being informed.
I can't accept returns on custom orders which are made to individual specifications or measurements. For example, I don't count wristcuffs as 'custom' although they're made to order, because they can be restocked. Skirts, petticoats, other clothing, and items made with the 'custom order' option are counted as custom items and cannot be returned.
Please take note of order schedules- or ask!- when ordering any clothing, because it's really irritating to get a cancellation request when I've already purchased your fabric or am halfway through making something.
For custom orders, I will provide photos of the finished item(s) on request, but once you have checked and accepted these, they are non-returnable.
For non-custom items: you can return these unused, for any reason, within 14 days of receipt. The buyer is responsible for return postage costs.
Please do get in touch if there are any problems.
Customs duties, import/local taxes etc. will not be refunded.
I cannot guarantee the following:
-Delivery date without guaranteed postage (i.e Special Delivery).
Currently this is only available for the UK, so if you are ordering from overseas and need something by a certain date, either order with time to spare or *convo me first* before buying. Time frame for custom items is given in listings. I do not undertake rush orders. Parcelforce offers a guaranteed international service but it's expensive enough to knock your hat off, so let's not go there.
-Fit on custom items where you provide the measurements; sometimes measurements go wrong. If you tell me you're X size, that is all I have to go on and I'm going to believe you.
-Exact colour(s) etc.
Although I try to give accurate colour representation, sometimes things show up differently depending on your monitor, and may not exactly match in real life. This is particularly true for custom orders where I may not have materials in stock. If you really need something to match, I can send samples for some materials but this is not universal, and will add to order completion time.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please take note of completion times as given in the listings of made-to-order items.
If there is anything else you are not sure of before purchasing, just ask.
