About

The crafty little gamer chic...

I've always been into drawing, painting, and sculpting things out of clay since I was a child though I've never had any conventional classes. I also used to love collecting rocks, and all sorts of things regardless if it were in sand or dirt. I eventually had to give that break...I think my mom got tired of me digging holes all over the place. My real attraction to gems came about when I first went to the Smithsonian and was able to buy my own pieces of amethyst, quartz, and hematite. I tend to be attracted to shiny things kind of like a raccoon with the personality of the cartoon character Curious George. Growing up I was constantly crafting things though the mediums I used was always changing. One month I was making penguin figurines out of clay, the next month making friendship bracelets and in recent years I upgraded to making jewelry.

I feel that art is a freedom of expression that shouldn't have constraints. Regardless of all the forms and styles of art that exist there is never a right or wrong way in my book.

I was often told that I should sell my artwork but never really gave it much thought prior to joining etsy. I eventually put my stubborness aside and realized that many other people value handmade items just like I do. So in 2010 I decided to share my craft by opening my etsy shop and have been eager to continue creating sensible and unique items ever since.
