I first began painting in 2004, when I made name letters for my daughters new room. Because of those 4 little letters, I was encouraged by my family and friends to start a business, which grew into a successful endeavor. In 2010, I took a break and closed that shop in order to complete a Masters program. During those two years I missed the interaction with customers and the feeling of success that comes with running a business.

The holiday season of 2012 was my first "real" attempt at painting peg people, when I painted Nativity sets for my friends and family. Needless to say, I feel in love with the little wood pegs, and PegBuddies was born! I love the creativity and imagination they encourage when children (and some grown ups!) play with them.

The possibilities are endless when it comes to wood and paint, and I have loved all of the creative ideas that my customers have requested. 2013 was my first year of PegBuddies on Etsy. I have loved the community, and especially interacting with my amazing customers!

During the day I run around with my six crazy kids being a mom, but I LOVE having a reason to stay up late to create artwork that will be cherished for years by your family. I will always stay a one-woman show, so you are sure your PegBuddies are painted by my two little hands.
