5 out of 5 starsI purchased several original collages from Peggi and they are so colorful and beautiful. Peggi was incredibly helpful and responsive in her messages and I received her paintings within a few days which is saying a lot in December 2020. Thank you to Peggi!

About PeggiKrollRoberts
Reaching for late career.
Thank you for your interest in my story! I started my Etsy shop out of a little frustration and excitement! When I was switching from my 17 year illustration career over to a fine art career subject matter and "what I wanted to say" were harder to define. Much harder! But we had three small children, my favorite subject was the figure so I painted kids and their personal actions. The works had to be small and fast so I really just concentrated on putting down value and color relationships. Was pretty clear for a long time. Summers I would paint them and their friends at the beach or by our pool. "Family and children" beach scenes", turned out to be a very popular genre along with some of the still life works I did. But the kids grew up and and things changed. I wanted to explore other subject matter. I wanted to explore design. I wanted to explore abstraction and expressionism. I quickly found "actionism" did not suit my temperament. I always "explored" while I was creating work for my galleries. I had stacks of work, drawings, paintings, sketches in other mediums AND my ceramics. And no matter how good I thought these works were or how excited about all the new subject matter I was painting the requests from the galleries was always, "we love this work but what we really want are your beach paintings". So I asked myself, "What do I do with all this work that I really believe in and is piling up in the studio"? I had heard about Etsy and knew a few friends that were loving the site. So I thought I'd give it a try. And there is one other huge reason. I want to make ORIGINAL art affordable! Truly. Thank you again for for taking a look. Sincerely, Peggi Kroll Roberts
