Finding ceramics was a happy accident!

Shop members

  • Penny Spooner

    Owner

Penny is a potter, who designs and makes porcelain tableware, all individually thrown on the wheel. She designs, throws, turns, fires and glazes all her pieces herself, so that each piece is made entirely by Penny.

  • Madeleine Spooner

    Artist

Madeleine is a talented artist who draws custom order dog portraits on to Penny's handmade porcelain pots. These are then fired and clear glazed, so that the portrait is permanently fixed on the pot.

Production partners

  • Madeleine Spooner

    Whitchurch, England

Madeleine is a student, studying at drama school in London, who enjoys artwork and music in her spare time. Once the pot has been thrown and bisque fired by Penny, it is passed to Madeleine to hand drawn the original image directly on to the piece, before being glazed and fired again by Penny.
