About

'We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly'

Can you remember the first time you went into a sweet shop as a child? Do you remember the amazement, the awe, the excitement and giddiness? The over whelming temptation to put your hand in every box of sweets there was and try every single one of them......

Well that was me, as a child, except it wasn't a sweet shop it was a craft shop. Our family friends owned a haberdashery and I remember being mesmerized by the beautiful rainbow colours of the embroidery thread that filled the walls. I just wanted to touch them all, fill my basket with every colour and make something beautiful with them.

I tried to learn how to cross stitch and make tapestries but I'm one of those people who likes instant results and those projects took far too long to make me feel happy and as though I'd achieved something. But Friendship Bracelets - not only can I start and complete a project in a couple of days but I can wear them, show off the colours, change them up, match my outfits!

I'm also a complete perfectionist which is a blessing and a curse. It's brilliant for my work because I focus so hard on each bracelet, tying each knot in the right sequence and keeping the pressure even so the bracelet flows beautifully. You know you are getting great quality products from someone who is meticulous about every detail. However it can be a curse because, when you are personally striving for perfection in all aspects of your life, you are your own worst critic and the pressure can wear you down.

There is a balance to perfectionism and I've spent years trying to accept that perfection isn't actually desirable. It's our quirkiness, our individuality and our little 'imperfections' that make us special. The same goes for products that are made by hand. We don't want mass produced, machine made products that are just an accessory. We want something different, special, one of kind and something that expresses the fact we are all individuals, something that cheers us up when we look at it and something that celebrates our uniqueness.

My day job is working with young people who are diagnosed with cancer. I try and use my creative skills to help them feel as "normal" as possible whilst they are having treatment. My bracelets are just one of the creative things I am passionate about

Additional policies and FAQs
Please note that all my items are handmade by me. No two items will be identical but that is what makes them special. Please allow for slight variances from the photographs.

Alterations cannot be made for 'ready to ship' items. Please message me and we can arrange a custom order.

It is advised that you do not go swimming whilst wearing my items as the colours will fade due to the chlorine. Showering with the Friendship Bracelets on is perfectly acceptable and should cause very minimal damage to colours.
