Very beautiful!!! Could tell that a lot of work went into the making of this quilt; however, it (sadly) didn't work with daughter's new room. PersimonDreams understood, and is currently working with me on it being returned.

About

Fiber Arts, Quilts and More - inspired by my dreams.

I have been creating as long as I can remember. When I was five I hand stitched a quilt for my brother using the fabrics from my mother's rag bin - including the toilet seat cover! I continued to create whenever the opportunity and inspiration struck.

In sixth grade my art teacher told my parents to buy me whatever art supplies I asked for because I wouldn't waste them. My parents listened.

I went to the University of Wisconsin, Madison and got a degree in Civil Engineering. I worked in the field for a few years until I realized I wanted to see my children grow up. Soon after that realization I 'retired' and became a SAHM. Although children are a lot of work - it did free up my creating time a bit and I started to really work at what I love - making things that make people smile.

Just five days after my second daughter was born I decided to open my etsy shop. It was definitely slow going at first but I decided to really try to make a go of it. Now - things are moving along nicely. I sell my items on etsy, at my apple orchard in the fall, and at various craft shows in my area. My kids are getting bigger and I can see their love for creating blooming and I can't wait to see how it progresses!

When I was 20 I met my birth mother and discovered that creating is in my blood. You can read our story here: http://www.etsy.com/storque/handmade-life/etsy-loves-moms-a-daughter-mother-reunion-7954/

I am also proud to sell a few items made by mother-in-law, Diane,. I lucked out when I married into an extremely talented family! The long-arm quilting on many of the quilts you see here was done by my aunt-in-law, Barb, from www.QuiltsbyBarb.etsy.com. Make sure you check out her shop for more amazing quilts!

I have been creating things for as long as I remember. When I was five, I sewed my brother a 'quilt' using my mom's rags...including a furry toilet seat cover. Of course, he loved it!

I love to sew, bead and make things you wouldn't expect out of everyday item. I have a degree in engineering because I thought solving problems was fun. One time, my roommate and I needed a whisk to make some pudding...the fork just wasn't making it fluffy enough. I used some random green wire I just happened to have, chopsticks and some electrical tape...we used it for years to come. That's just one example of a random creation of mine. I do try to make a mixture of 'standard' items along with some more unique things that the right person has to come along and fall in love with. I hope you enjoy my shop!
