About

Functional Sculpture- Jewelry

Since I was about 15, I have loved the beautiful forms of nature and the unique varied forms it produces in minerals, pearls, and semi precious stones. I have been an artist since childhood and have a bachelors of Fine Arts in sculpture.

Over the years I have often played with creating jewelry, and started working more seriously with it as a medium around 2007. I work with my favorite metal, silver, to honor and create from the beauty we find all around us.I have been self taught through reading and the wonderful rich world of tutorials online. I have seen my work evolve quickly in the last couple of years, in much the same way it has with any other medium I have worked with. The creative process is consistent with my other mediums and brings me great joy.

My work is inspired by nature and the world around us, as well as history, drawing and imagery. I live near the beach and adore the ocean, as well as a beautiful garden and it allows me to be directly inspired for my work.

Welcome to Petal and Stone. I have been creating unique silver wrapped and now smithed jewelry for about 5 years. I am inspired by the small things in nature, leaves, flowers, stones, crystal and other found objects. I do my best to bring you a unique piece of sculpture to adorn your body. If you see a piece that has a style that you would like with different stones or a slightly different configuration, please conv me and I will see if it can be created to your liking. That said, each piece is hand made and no two will ever be exactly the same.

Payment
Payment is due upon purchase.

If you live in NJ, understand that I must charge you sales tax of 7%.

IMPORTANT NYS PLEASE READ
I also have a sale tax ID in NY state and therefore must charge tax there as well. Because of the varied rates in NY State and I cannot charge you the highest rate and refund you or a lower rate and bill you, you must select "other" in you payment method. This will give me to opportunity to email you an invoice with the correct sales tax for your jurisdiction.
Shipping
I ship a majority of my items through priority mail, which is 7-10 days shipping. However, it may be a day or two before your order goes out, so please allow a full 14 days. If I get it in late, I may ship with fed ex or ups to make sure you get your item timely. This will not affect the shipping cost on my items. If your order is above the standard 100.00 insurance provided by the post office, I will purchase additional insurance to protect us both.

International orders will be shipped through the US Mail. This means that once a package hits your country's customs, I will be unable to track it further. Since I do not have any bulk shipping to foreign countries the price for other shipping services is very high. If you do want to pay for such services, I can accommodate that, but will have to charge you for it. As an example, a small box with declared value of 150.00 may cost up to or even more than 100.00 US.
Refunds and Exchanges
I take customer service very seriously and have personally vowed never to purchase from stores that have not met my reasonable expectations.

If an item arrives damaged, I will do everything possible to recreate the item or refund you. However, understand that each item, though similar to others, is unique and may not be able to be created as an exact match.

If you are for any reason unsatisfied with an item, I will also work to replace, repair or refund you for it. In the case of a refund I would require a return of the item in whatever condition it may be in, so that I may recoup as much cost as possible.
Additional policies and FAQs
Some of my items are very delicate and not fit for children, children pulling on them etc. I myself am fairly hard on jewelry and test all new designs for a degree of sturdiness before posting them. Particularly delicate pieces will state so in their description.

I will entertain custom orders if you do not see exactly what you wish. These must be paid for before they are sent and the price will be dependent on the materials and time required.

If you are interested in carrying my work in a retail store setting I will entertain wholesale and consignment, just conv me and we can discuss if a proper arrangement can be agreed upon.
