I started Petals & Plumes back in 1997 and originally was in the Wholesale Trade. My Customer base was mostly high end Furniture stores and Interior Designers and my main focus was on Home Decor arrangements for everyday use. I began designing and installing Custom Christmas Decorations for Customers and found an niche' that allowed my creativity to go from ideas to creations and now have the pleasure in sharing that with customers all over the world.

Several years back, I started selling online and wanted to produce a product that would ship easily, so I tried my hand at selling wreaths. I was NEVER one to display a wreath year round except at Christmas simply because I wasn't into the everyday fru-fru floral wreaths, I wanted to create a UNIQUE item that would stand out, so I decided to come up with something more whimsical and the "Hat n' Boots Collection Character Wreath©" was born. The first year, I found the public not too receptive to the idea, found comments about the bodies in my wreaths without a face was a bit odd and people posting on blogs about them, then the next year, they took off when I introduced my "Witch with the Ruby Red Slippers". I had seen wreaths with Witch shoes or a hat placed in it, but they didn't grab me, I wanted to give the Illusion of a whole Character in the wreath, and Petals & Plumes was the FIRST to introduce this design of using Hats and Legs w/shoes in wreaths to create a Character and now my idea/concept/design has spread all over the internet. "Amazing how a concept I created has now grown into a worldwide phenomenon and now Wholesale Distributors, Stores, Floral Designers and High End Catalog companies are incorporating Petals & Plumes' ORIGINAL idea into their Seasonal Decor Sales."

I am extremely particular in my work and use quality materials and strive to continually provide a High End product and in 2014, I will have NEW LINES in my Collection and a NEW SHOP which will offer Designers all over a high end product to use in wreaths....
