It turned out beautiful!! Thanks for making the adjustments to the design to accommodate our behemoth of a tuner. Love love love it! Thanks, Peter!

We knew we would love the two vinyl storage benches, but they far exceed our wildest expectations!! Peter absolutely nails the very essence of the mod/mid-century era, the quality and craftsmanship is beyond compare and they are practical and functional too. We hit the trifecta of furniture here and in fact we just ordered a third bench–all for the same room! I guess we'll have to dub it the Deeble Lounge or something.

About

The Pete Deeble Furniture Story

I have been building things as long as I can remember. As a teenager I built a lot of skateboarding ramps and cases for instruments and records. In college I built a table for my girlfriend at the time (she's my wife now!) and sometime around 2007 I built a media cabinet and a bed. At that time I was teaching high school algebra and one of my summer school classes got cancelled, cutting my summer income in half. I had a mortgage I couldn't afford and was up against a wall. With my wife's encouragement I built a bed and put it on craigslist and within two weeks it was sold. I finally realized that building was something that I'm good at, that it's part of what makes me fully who I am meant to be, and that I might actually be able to make some money doing it. So I started building more furniture, mostly beds and night stands, out of my parents' garage. Before long I was getting a line of customers and started to expand. I brought on one person to help sometime around 2012 and have added a few others since. I now have a work shop in Signal Hill California and work with a few other builders in various shops around Signal Hill and Long Beach. I still specialize in beds and night stands, but I have built a lot of other pieces along the way such as dressers and credenzas. Most of my photographs are taken by the amazing Matt Wignall, who also produced my video. My aesthetic is heavily influenced by Mid Century Modern and/or Scandinavian sensibilities, so I love anything that is simple, minimal, and clean.
