Necessity is the mother of invention
After getting back into model railroading as an adult, I became frustrated when I couldn't find detail parts I needed to complete my projects. Especially interior details for buildings and structures. It started with a biker bar kit I was building. I needed a pool table, bar, and jukebox. What I found online was either too pricey, low quality, or sometimes both. Or it just didn't exist at all.
So I decided to design and 3D print my own detail parts. As I shared my creations with others in the hobby, many were interested in where I got them and how they could get them. Thus Pete's 3D Scale Models was born.
Everything I make is for my own model train layout. After all, necessity is the mother of all invention! Some designs are prototypical and others are just my version of something and meant to add interest.
I'm always open to ideas and suggestions on what to design or how to improve things. I've been thrilled that so many folks have asked for my models in other scales, and am now starting to offer those. I love to see what people are doing so please share your photos and leave comments.
Thank you!
Pete
