Please keep in mind that although these pieces can be used to interact with children of all ages, they are handmade pieces of art and not rough and tumble toys! They make beautiful display pieces for a child's room, but are not intended to be used as toys for children.

My animals are also each one of a kind pieces. The piece you receive will vary slightly from the piece listed on Etsy. I put a ton of love into each one, hand dying them and felting them into a little creation with a personality! This process takes time, so please allow 2-3 weeks for me to get your order in the mail to you.

Creations come wrapped in their very own PetitFelts gift box.

All of my items are copyrighted by PetitFelts, please do not reproduce.

About

How it all began...

After graduating from SCAD with a degree in Metals and Jewelry in 2005, I lived in various cities, doing various things, not often involving metals OR jewelry. I eventually began working as a recruiter for SCAD and spent my days preaching to kids in art classes to pursue creative lives and put themselves on a path to make a living doing what makes them happy. A few years into the job, I realized I needed to take my own advice and make some big changes for myself. I took a big risk and quit my steady job to move up north to a tiny, rural town with no plan in mind. It was the best decision I've ever made.
My new surroundings inspired me to start creating again, but it didn't take long before I realized that despite the fact that working with metal was what I had studied in school, it was definitely not my passion. I had signed up to participate in a craft fair shortly after my move and in an attempt to avoid making jewelry for the fair, I made some little felted animals. I was blown away when I not only sold out of animals, but started to receive orders for more! Within a month of that fair, I decided to begin PetitFelts and I've been at it ever since. I create my pieces out of my studio in Copake, NY and I am grateful each and every day to be living in this beautiful part of the country, doing what I love best.
