Frequently asked questions
Do I need a commercial license?

You are only required to purchase a commercial license if you intend to use the product commercially, i.e. as a part of your product or design (whether or not you charge for the end product).

The standard commercial license is intended for small business use and allows sales up to a limit of 500 units. If you intend to use the cliparts on a larger scale, please purchase multiple licenses.

One license is valid for Digital Papers and Basic Papers from one collection - if you want to use both, you only need to purchase one license. The same goes for Watercolor Cliparts, Planner Cliparts and Brush Strokes - even if you use all three, you only need one license. If, however, you'd like to use both cliparts and papers, you need two.

What is allowed and not allowed with a commercial license?

By purchasing a commercial license, you can:

- use the assets in an unlimited number of end products
- sell up to 500 units combined

You are not allowed to:

- use the assets "as-is", with no design or artistic involvement; the assets may only be used as part of a larger design (by adding text, textures or other images)
- redistribute the assets, which includes reselling or sharing them for free, redistributing them with minor changes (i.e. changing the colors), embedding them within editable files (i.e. a PSD file from which the original assets can be extracted)
- claim my designs as your own work
- upload the assets to any automated "POD" merchandise marketplaces (including but not limited to Society6, Casetify, Spoonflower or Zazzle)

Can I use coupon codes with licenses?

As long as the coupon works with the license - feel free to do so. Please note however that licenses may be excluded from some sales, and you won't be able to use those coupons on them.

What's the difference between a standard license and an extended license?

With an extended license, you are not bound by the "as-is" rule of the standard license, that is: you can use my assets on your products without any artistic involvement.

That includes use cases like printing fabric, wrapping paper, merchandise (mugs, clothing etc.), cards, invitations and others.

One extended license covers 500 units of your end product.

Please note that other terms of the standard license still apply, and that products made with my assets "as-is" must be physical.

Is a commercial license required for digital paper packs?

Yes. This has recently changed in my shop because I wanted to extend my collections to additional product and the previous model did not seem viable.

Previously purchased digital paper packs remain unaffected.

This change went into effect starting May 1st 2018. I understand that not everybody may notice the change immediately, therefore I will only start enforcing this change starting July 1st 2018.
