Super fast shipping - lovely necklace. Was a back-to-school present for my 7 yo niece - she loves it! Thank you!

Piece is adorable & was shipped very quickly! There was an issue with the clasp and she replaced it immediately which was so appreciated. Compliments every time I wear it.

About

Jewelry that Changes Lives

I’m Megan Gupta, the founder of Philanthropic Panda: a jewelry company that helps customers change lives through donations to amazing non-profit organizations. Our partners focus on empowering communities to lift themselves out of poverty. In this model, everyone wins - I get to do what I love (make jewelry), you get to wear beautiful handcrafted pieces, and our partner organizations get funding for their incredible work.

My outlook on life changed dramatically in 2010 when I left a stable job to travel and volunteer with NGOs across Asia. While in Thailand, I met women who had been rescued from sex-trafficking and are now getting an education. While working on clean water projects in Cambodia, I met a woman who had been drinking from a muddy ditch for years until we installed her bio-sand water filter. I met others who had received water filters in the past and no longer missed work or school due to water-borne illnesses. In Laos, I assisted in creating a library for a town with a low literacy rate and limited access to books. These eye-opening experiences made me want to dedicate time and money to support organizations that provide sustainable and culturally responsible solutions to poverty.

Upon my return to the US, I created Philanthropic Panda to combine my drive to make an impact with my lifelong passion for making jewelry. In my shop, you’ll find pieces that support clean water projects, girls’ education, and incredible doctors that save lives with very few resources. New pieces and initiatives are added regularly, so make sure to stop by often!
