About

Philly Love Notes

Philly Love Notes began as a blog that collected love letters to Philadelphia. It was a way to shine a little light on a city that can be pretty hard on itself, From there, the project grew into a social media campaign and events that promoted all the great things in the city.

In order to provide something more tangible, this Etsy shop has been set up to sell custom maps of Philadelphia. All of the maps are based off of an original 3'x4' handcut paper map of Philadelphia that details the entire street grid and took over 100 hours to make. The map was scanned, and all of these lasercut wood and paper maps come from that original. I make maps based on standard neighborhoods as well as custom addresses. Curious to see the full process? Check out the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_yvfHD9jmE (huge thanks to Anthony Sinagoga for the video).

They make perfect gifts for house warmings, weddings, birthdays and more. If you're interested in the blog, check it out at www.phillylovenotes.com, and if you'd like more info about the mission and maps, please feel free to reach out at phillylovenotes [!at] gmail.com.

With lots of Philly love,
Emma

Hi! Welcome to Philly Love Notes. All of the maps here are made custom to order and are based on standard Philadelphia neighborhoods or custom addresses of your choosing. All maps are lasercut by me, based off of an original hand-done papercut of the entire city of Philadelphia. Some imperfections remain because of the handmade nature of the work.

Please notify me immediately and we can discuss refunds or replacements.

All items are packaged in custom screen printed wrapping paper, and come with a card that is also a pre-stamped postcard. They are shipped in a bubble mailing sleeve within a cardboard box, ensuring that they arrive without damage.

I ship through USPS, and will send you a tracking number once shipped. If you would like to purchase insurance for your item, contact me and I will prepare an adjusted invoice.

When ordering custom maps, please clarify the address to be used in the wood/papercut and the mailing address if different. If a package comes back to me due to an error on your part (inaccurate address, etc), I will send you an additional invoice via paypal to cover cost of re-shipment.
