When I was three years old I spent a fair share of time with my grandmother and her crafty ways. I was especially fond of her button box and the itty bitty fabric samples she often received in the mail. Eventually she made those scraps over into a patchwork skirt which was gifted to me on my fifth birthday. I loved it so much I wore it for several more birthdays to come until the poor thing could not be wiggled around my waist any longer and it disappeared deep into the attic. My love of fabrics patched together, however, was permanently embedded in me.

Today that little patchwork skirt has happily re-emerged and been made into a sewing machine cover for Betty, my Singer Featherweight 221. Having taken over the hall at the top of the stairs and dubbed it my sewing nook, Betty (and the skirt) now have a permanent home!

Tiny stitches taken in stolen moments are a daily habit and one that I eagerly look forward to. Equally entertaining is "fabric play" in which all sorts of color and print combinations are laid out for debate. It's amazing how many delicious fabrics there are out there and I half wonder if I don't keep my projects small scale in order to give them all a try!

    Only child marries high school sweetheart and soon finds herself hunkered down in New England with three kids, a bichon, and lots of laundry. All is well in their little gray house although a bit less housework would be most welcome!

Payment
Payments will be accepted through Paypal, Etsy Direct Checkout, personal checks, and money orders. Unfortunately I cannot ship your order until payment has been made in full. Therefore, shipping may be slightly delayed when using a personal check, as I require it to be cleared by the bank first. But ship, it will! And I am more than happy to stay in contact with you throughout the entire process.

Massachusetts residents will be charged a 6.25% sales tax upon checkout.
Shipping
Purchases will be shipped by way of the USPS. I like to get your package delivered to you as quickly as possible but at a reasonable price. I will chose the best way to do so from the following options: First Class Mail, Priority Mail, or Parcel Post. Books, however, will go by way of media mail in order to keep the price down a bit. Should you prefer a different shipping method or if you wish to add insurance/tracking please let me know so we can work out the details.

All shipping fees charged include the cost of packaging materials as well as the actual postage expense. If after posting out your package I find you have been overcharged $1.00 or more I will promptly refund you the excess amount.
Refunds and Exchanges
If for any reason, you are not satisfied with your purchase please contact me immediately...I don't want any unhappy customers. I will gladly give a full refund for items returned to me in their original condition. Return shipping costs, however, will be at your expense.
